yup, saw that. i wouldn't mind, but he feigned injury so the physio could come on to give them to him ffs. i suppose it'll all be revealed that his lack of concentration in a game is due to his sugar levels being low.

The only reason I can think of would be low blood sugar levels as they'd be easily metabolised.

Seeing as this is a very tenuous "sports" forum at the best of times, perhaps you could let me know how you pronounce "Lidl?"

Do you say it as: "Lie-Dill," or "Lid-Ill?"

I am quite interested in this, in order to settle an argument down the pub.

Thanks.

It's Lie-dill

Somebody else now is just after introducing a third possible pronunciation:

Lee-Dill.

So now we have:

Lie-Dill,

Lid-Ill,

Lee-Dill.

Which is correct?

The things i worry about.

What about "Aldi?"

Do you say "Al-Dee," or "Al-Die?"

Such was the gravity of this issue, I checked with my girlfriend (who is German) and the correct pronunciation rhymes with "needle".

So there.

Suggestion to Stevie G.

Have spot prizes of Jaffa Cakes on Black on Red.

It would be like Freakscene handing out the lollypops years ago...

A thread on the pronouciation of German supermarkets surely ranks as one of the worst. You should know that, apart Jonathan O keefe in leather pants, if there's one thing Nimic and his langers forum cronies get off on its wordplay.

Mockery, this place is slipping.

Well the very fact that you still call him Nimic would indicate that we have long since slipped into the abyss

There is wordplay for the sake of it(Nimic and the langers) and then hilarious relevant sports forum kind like if i said "Cockery of biblical proportions" when describing the antics of christiano ronaldo on a night on the town.

Niall Fitz is testament to this
