..or lack thereof.
Which is more stupid, taking along a player to the World Cup when he's not fit or exactly repeating the error four years later?
What a clown Eriksson is.
If it were a mullacker defender maybe the guy might be still of some value but not a forward.
In the bargain, Eriksson has essentially told the likes of Crouch, Bent, Defoe, players who might actually be of some use to him this summer, that he'd rather an injured player over them.
Great man management you incompetent gonad.

The dopiest bit is that [whisper it] but it's hard to think of too many stronger squads going to this tournament and they're going to blow it again because their managers are always such unbelievable fucking idiots. Robson was the last half decent one.

the only way to manage that team is to have a complete media blackout.....the manager cant scratch his arse.....which is why mike bassett england manager is a cracker of a film.....and the players are so self obsessed with seeing themselves in the paper.
news of the world go out to bring down the england manager.....and will be out with "up england" and "support ur country" shite editions for the run in.
cant wait for the excuses when they fuck up again

That's true enough, total media blackout but a "them against us" siege mentality might just be the ticket.
Problem is so many tournaments now have manditory press conference obligations etc. Suppose could send Robert Green or Scott Carson out for them all! ;)

Rooney is supposed to be suffering big time with a lack of fitness, even if the foot does heal in time the manchester united doctors dont know if he will be match fit.
