Bollocks, messed up the poll. Ah well, nominate instead i suppose.

I'm still plumping for United. As long as Chelsea have no fans in my face they can't really displace them.

funny that cynical seems to sum up the chelski era or maybe drogba and the special one are just misunderstood by everyone.can see how arsenal playing beautiful passing football is cynical.never thought i would hear united arsenal and pool fans all wish their rival fans well in their attempts to break the money fuelled efforts of chelsea.united fans over the last months actually wished me as a gunners fan all the best in europe.honestly not upset united beat us today if it can help silence that smug arrogant cunt in a flashers trenchcoat.

arsenal are the kings of cynical football, they dive like olympians everytime they get brushed (reyes being an absolute cunt for it, and it was no surprise that wenger was the first manager to come out and support drogba considering his team are the worst team for it) and if they are being beaten to the ball or if the man is getting away from them they always hack their opponent down (ashley cole against matty ethrington at upton park this year a perfect example), and the whinging christ thats second to none, wenger is always moaning-oh the ref was not on our side, the linesman should have done better, i did not see it, the other team tried to foul us all the time, the grass is too green, the other fans were too loud. I FUCKING HATE ARSENAL

There does seem to be an awful lot of hatred thrown their direction at the moment but there still isn't a movement like there was when United were on top i.e. the ABU. I think people are using some selective memory here. United weren't hated, they were absolutely despised. Chelsea aren't important enough, as of yet, to be absolutely despised.

I think the "no one likes us, we don't care" thing has been going on with years with Chelsea. Rangers use the same motto. Whether you care or not still doesn't take away how much you're hated ;)

But to be honest, of all the scousers I've seen pull on a football top in the last 15 or 20 years, Rooney's probably the scummiest of the lot. How does that sit with your philosophy?

'hate' is such a negative word, but...

Arsenal. ...bunch of cunts.
..whether it's stuff like taking quick free kicks when the other keeper is lining up a wall; this is unsporting behaviour which the majority of other teams wouldn't consider, taunting players who've just missed penalties (Winterburn 88, Keown 03), chucking pizza and spitting at players, ungraciousness in defeat, knocking in goals when the other team have kicked out for an injury (afterwards embarrassed into a rematch), taking the offside game to unprecedented levels (88-95), introducing an extra defender into the game (1930's; cunts! never forgive them for that one), think they're a bigger club than what they've actually achieved on the pitch, numerous spats with many teams down the years, (United, Wimbledon, Norwich ..major bust ups), Nigel Winterburn is an excuse all on his own, Wrights very nasty challenge on the Great Dane, Paul Davis breaking a players jaw, ...all those kind of things really,
..that's all I can think of off hand..

..saying all that, I don't mind if they win the European Cup this year, good luck to them, they've had a good team for few years.

of the traditional rivals, don't mind Liverpool ..they've earned it on the pitch and in the stand. like City, like the way they play football, with style like United. and don't mind leeds, decent football club.

So your hatred of all things Celtic is based on the many years you spent whistling on your way to work on the banks of the Clyde? You have to have been in Glasgow to hate Celtic?

I dont hate Sell Thick at all ..... i hate their 'fans' that are based in Ireland ... they follow them largely for the wrong reasons (imo) and they tend to be from the fringes of society/low life scum (imo). The argument they give for supporting a team in a different country while forsaking their own and claim they love the sport are ridiculous (imo).

So to answer your question no i dont hate Sell Thick, just their fans.

Glasgow itself is fine i'd say though yeah? .... i mean it was a complete shítehole at one stage but its getting better from what i hear.

My dislike of nearly all things Scouse dates back to my childhood and teen years....my gran's sister married one of em and lived there most of her life....I was over there 3/4 times before i was 14....and they (family and all) visited us on several (too many) occasions....the first thing I hated was their fecking accents, the second was the city in general....just never looked forward to goping there at all...I even preferred trips to my auntie in Cahir...fucking Cahir FFS !!!!

Anyway....subsequent trips by buddies/family there have often resulted in bad memories...hotel rooms robbed, car nicked etc.....it all adds up to my general dislike of the place/people...my choice, not saying everyone else has to agree!!!!

Only ever liked one person I ever met from the place...a sort of buddy when I lived in london, but even most of his family were from Cork, so that's probably why...good genes !!!

so its not actually scousers then?

The songs are directed towards the club and their supporters, and by association the city they come from....that's my understanding of the songs directed towards them anyway...as a fairly mature adult, I don't really partake in the more personal and disturbing chants (Hillsborough references etc) as that's going too far!!!!

My dislike of scousers is a purely personal viewpoint, based on past experiences, but is not exclusive...I may meet a scouser I actually like one day......... but I wouldn't bet on it !!!

Most of Uniteds songs are about United

I hate Liverpool, the club and the city.......and dirty fecking scousers in general...thieving scumbags, in general!!!

I for one love Liverpool as a city. Having lived over here (Manchester) for the last 4 years, I find that when I head to Europe's city of culture (2008)it actually reminds me of Cork. The people are unique in their accent and general friendliness and to be fair most of them are of Irish stock anyway. The architecture in the city is stunning and most of its civic buildings are amongst the finest on this island, the fact that most of them were paid for by the slave trade is a debate for another date. Nightlife is great and the music scene is spot on. The footballing side of the city is what makes it tick though, everyone has an opinion from cab drivers to dentists and most households will have folks supporting either side of teh Blue/Red divide. The area around Walton/Anfield/ Everton is dotted with municipal football pitches, very similar to the northside of our fair city. As I said earlier I've lived in Manchester for 4 years but given the choice i'd rather sit and have a pint with a scouser over a manc any day.

To say Liverpool is crime ridden and delapedated is showing a grave ignorance of reality and more of a lazy mind.

Yeah i've been there a good few times nice city

Manchester is a fine city too

A lot of peoples opinions on these towns are fed by stereotypes since they are northern industrial and unfashionable

Both cities have come on greatly lately and have many similarities with our own
