West Ham United manager Alan Pardew has been named Premiership manager of the month for February.

The Hammers boss guided his side to three league wins, beating Arsenal 3-2 away and Sunderland and Birmingham 2-0 and 3-0 respectively at Upton Park.

West Ham also gained a creditable 0-0 draw away at Bolton in the FA Cup, with the replay taking place on Wednesday.

Pardew is in his first season of Premiership management having led West Ham to promotion through the play-offs.

He deserves it (West Ham have been great lately) but his comments about Arsenal and their non English players are bullshit-i have no doubt Big sam used these to wind his own non english players up before their game Saturday
I'm with Wenger on this one
it's bordering on racism to be so concerned with where players are from
Football is a global game

What is it about the Manager of the Month award and getting bad results immediately afterwards...

Maybe its that he won it on the back of one good result and a couple of patsies at home, and West Ham aren't really that good.

Just putting himself in the frame for the England job I think ;)

It's not just bordering on racism - it is racism.

It will be interesting to see how they do next season though, wigan aswell.the element of surprise will be gone, and wigans results since new year have been nothing to write home about

we will be strengthening our squad in the summer, although we are quite strong as it is. should do well next year. every aspect of the club, stadium, squad, hospitality etc. is geared to being in the premiership. we will do well

By "not that good" I mean still prone to getting absolutely whacked by the better teams. West Ham will finish between 10th and 8th. An excellent achievement for a newly promoted team, but there's no point getting carried away by a couple of wins over Birmingham and Sunderland (and no, I'm not forgetting the fine win over Arsenal, even if Arsenal were one injury away from sticking a number on the kid that holds Henry's hand on the way out of the tunnel and playing him/her at full back).

West Ham also have a balls of a schedule, 10 games to go and they still have to play all the top 4.
