After seeing Steven Gerrard's interview on Sky after Liverpool's exit from the Champions League last night i could not help notice the difference between clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid & Chelsea.
Gerrard simply said that Liverpool did not take their chances and that Benfica did. Although he was dissapointed he wished Benfica all the best in the competition and said that they had played really well.
Upon hearing David Beckham's interview after his side's exit he simply said that on his return to London he wanted it to be a happy one but it was not. He wished Arsenal well in the competition, commended their defence and remarked that's a real good football team.
Compare this to the previous nights post match interviews and listen to the excuses and general bad blood coming from the Chelsea camp and one can only admire and respect such players as Gerrard and Beckham and believe that they are a credit to their clubs.

Beckham talks the talk - when's the last time he spurred Real to victory. He's now no different to any of the other overpaid wasters at Real. Each one of them would have said the same thing, Sky simply picked him for obvious reasons.
Gerrard said it as it was and fair play to him for that.
While some of the guff that emanates from Stamford Bridge is at times vomit-inducing, there's nothing wrong with being bitter at losing a game.

There isn't but there is when you can't accept that you have been beaten by a better side.
Which they were.

No argument here. It's a good thing if it can be harnessed properly. After their gloating in the same fixture last season they deserve some egg on their face this season.
2 Champions League defeats, 2 referee death threats. Mourinho & Chelsea deserve each other.

Chalk it, despite all his teams flaws against United and Celtic I still had an ounce of respect for him last season.
But not any more.

Come off it lads. Imagine the boredom if Chelsea were an ultra professional outfit full of nice guys. There's a certain Eminem song that sits very nicely with Mourinho.

In a 30 second post-match interview on ITV on Tuesday, he managed to bring up the referees performance as well as poor luck for the reasons his team went out. Either the guy is trying to build up his players' confidence by making them think only bizarre circumstances will prevent them winning, or he's completely delusional. I'd say it's the former.

Earra if he's unprepared to admit his side were beaten by the better team then how can they learn from their defeats?

Only fools learn from their defeats, Langerdan, the wise man learns from history.
