I heard on the radio this morning, that statistically, he is the worst manager in the history of the premiershite.

hardly suprising..although to be fair he hasn't had a penny to spend on players

did Paul Jewell when he was over Bradford?
Can't imagine Burley had too much money at Ipwsich first time round?
Swindon, Barnsley?
It just goes to show how shit he is.

Paul Jewell kept Bradford up the first season though so thats pretty impressive. Again burley would have done no harm to his average with that 4th place finish a few years back. Whoever was in charge of swindon has got to running McCarthy close though - think they finished the season with over 100 goals conceded. some going.

The tsunami (toon army) victim had to shave his head on the pitch at the end of the season.

Sure you could probably prove anything with statistics.
Christian Gross comes a close second in my book, and by the way i couldnt understand a word he said either.

How about Ossie "3-2-5" adiles?
I'm sure if Staunton ever gets a job in the premiership then he could take McCarthy's record

watford were on record for having the lowest points ccumulated in a season i think, probably will get broken by Sunderland though.

I thought Sunderland were with 19 the season before last.
They could well beat that this year.

they played 42 games that season, not sure how many points they got.B
ack then, you could be relegated with 40 odd points, now,40 points gets you a decent mid table position

They were. It was a big moment for me as a hornets fan.

I knew a Watford fan years ago in School...that was back in the day when they were just after the 'glory' period...after they challenged for the league one year, and FA Cup finalists in 84 !!!! Elton at wembley....and not another gayer in sight!!!!
