Portsmouth have denied reports that Harry Redknapp's job could be under threat.
The Premiership strugglers have won just two league games since Redknapp returned to the club in early December after a year at south coast rivals Southampton.
Newspaper reports claimed Pompey's new co-owner Alexandre Gaydamak wanted to sack the 58-year-old after a poor run of results which currently sees them trailing eight points behind fourth-from-bottom West Brom. But a spokesperson for the club said: "The club and Alexandre categorically refute the rumours from this report."
He added: "Harry Redknapp has the backing of everyone at the club and will continue to do so."
