It really is. The last 15 years have been awfull. That said we are improving this year and with a little more fight and self belief we can get in the champs league. But boy are they frustrating to watch. Last Sunday at sunderland took the biscuit. Thats West Ham, Fulham and now fucking Sunderland who have scored against us in the last minute. That would be seven points right there if we could have kept our composure.(Fullham would have been a draw)
Still I suppose we are heading in the right direction. The next game against Aresnal should tell us a lot. I think we are still 3 or four players short of a decent side.

I can't disagree with any of that. It wouldn't be a disaster to finish in a UEFA cup spot. In fact, it might be better. Sometimes too much happens too soon, expectations are raised and quite often the team fail to live up to the expectations the following season. Steady progress is probably better in the long run.

True enough. But how many more decent signings can we expect if we qualify for the champs league. Jol seems to be liked and respected by players in general. Plenty will want to come to WHL if they qualify, then their is the financial incentive....I agree UEFA woul not be the end of the world, but hey we have waited long enough for a decent Spurs side....here's hoping

I think Spurs would be too well equipped financially to "do an Everton" but I was talking along those lines.

Yah I know. But to be honest Everton strike me as a bunch of donkeys...in fairness to Spurs we have a bit more class and creativity than that.
What say you?
If Spurs are to move up a class they need a couple of stars to emerge or be brought in. Right now they can field a team of 11 very good players. In the next couple of seasons, they'll need a couple of the youngish lads, people like Carrick, Dawson, Jenas, maybe Defoe (but I doubt it) to make that leap from very good to star.
In fairness, right now they're enjoyable enough to watch (when they don't fall back on whacking it up in the air for Mido), and it could only be good if another club gets into the top four AND is a threat to remain there year after year.

I agree entirely with your assesment. If we can get a few big names in the side or get or players to make the leap we will do well. I just hope it can be done...fingers crossed.

The way yee are playing at the moment you just might. But hot runs of form don't last all season expect to lose a game or three before the end of the season.
Besides we murdered yee at the lane this year, more sloppy defending from spurs at the end cost us the 3 points.

there are 3 games left that are going to be tough, liverpool at home and chelski and utd away, everything else is winable, then again saying that look what we did to the arseholes at highbury. last game of the season at the boleyn will be massive considering the history between the 2 clubs-never mind if CL qualification is at stake
