Hang, it has to be said you are a man with taste. I dont see the point in spending nearly 20K on a new hatchback when the same money will buy something powerful and jap. That DC5 is class and pretty rare over here. The previous version Type R is very popular though.

First of all, not sure what car maggot drives so I can't really make a comparsion.
@Boyracer, If you have a GTR Skyline you have one of the best engines in the world in your car. This was voted no.1 by a group of car industry honchos and designers, tuners and mechanics. The Beemer M3 engine comes second BTW. It is'nt quite as tunable as its naturally aspirated but is a strong engine nonetheless. The M3 evo however, has major problems with a vanos unit going in it which is about 5-7K to fix at a BMW garage!
Comparing BHP figures is one thing but youhave to take into account aspiration, no. of valves and how tuned or reliable the engine is?
Boyracer, thought you had an Opel turbo?!

Yeah but if you do need you vanos replaced bmw may give you a good will 5k to help fix it as its a design flaw, Boyracer drives a suzuki wagon R nearest he's been to anything worth while is on the playstation. Although he does claim to have a nova with a 2l turbo and intercooler in it - where it would all fit i don't know.
Oh and maggot drives something like a toyota camry ;-)

I read up on this recently, I'll find the link on cruiseirl for ya later man. Basically, BMW Ireland used to make "goodwill" payments towards fixing the Vanos unit. However they have stopped doing this now. They never as such admitted it was a design flaw. The easiest thing to do is to buy a straight 6 3.0 M3, these dont suffer the problem like the Evo version.
As for boyracer, really not sure what he drives every time I come on its something different! A 2.0 turbo conversion in a nova is not uncommon over in england, Migweb, the vauxhall site has several versions. The engine comes out of a calibra turbo or a cavalier turbo. Its a tight fit and many upgrades are needed like new drive shafts etc but it can be done.
As for a camry, they are a grand car! The 2.2 is a bit lazy on the horsepower front though!

Get a VW Golf and fit the big bumper kit to it. Fit a K&N filter and off you go.

Altezza RS has a beams engine, dual vvti system, revs to 9k exhaust system is different, you'll also have super strut suspension along with braces, beams exhaust system, and i know that SE is200s don't have a limited slip diff the Altezza RS does, Oh yeah and manual purely from a driving perspective whats the point of having 9k revs and an auto

Nah no extras, its very expensive to get more power from it, your talking big money like,, she has the full ss3 kit aswell so no need to change anything there, the wheels im in too minds about, they are light-weight racing wheels as standard but they are a bit small, also don't want to fuck up the handling by throwing on 18's or something stupid like that as its not the best handling car in the world anyway. Yeah i'd be a big fan of cossies - but standard escorts serrias are terrible and almost every part in the cossie is different to the ones in the standard. mark 1 and 2 escorts are good too, also have a liking for capris even if they are absolutely shite

The one i was telling you i drove there a month ago or so was auto.
Any car like that has a sport button for the auto box.
The Altezza also has a down shift on the wheel. (button on stearing wheel). Auto going up gears but you have the option of down-shifting gears yourself. Pitty it doesn't do both up and down.
Reevs aren't a problem in an auto! Still, wouldn't buy a sporty car in auto.
Could never understand people who buy MR2's, Supras and the likes with the auto box. (unless you'd be dragracing um, even at that, they're heavy).
9k revs, ha. I had a GSX-R 600 that revved out at 14k. Means fuck all biy.
You have to have high revs to keep the thing moving like. :-)

yeah just think of it, replacing the four tires as frequently as you were the rears on that supra, savage motor allright was going for a normal sti myself at one stage but the running costs seriously put me off, they will eat your wallet sspecially in the first few weeks as you horse the car about the place. not to mention even worse fuel economy than your last car. Still though for those few weeks you could afford to run it it would be class.
