Word on the street is that Fowler has signed a 'pay-as-you-play' deal with Liverpool. Cant decide if I like it or not.

surely bullshit. but lets face it,based on cisses performance yesterday we could do with a quality finisher.

if he's fit then it's potentially a great, free, signing.
generally i like cisse but it was like playing with ten men yesterday, I don't know where his head was at but it certainly wasn't old trafford.

he'll never be the fowler of old but you gotta admit it'd be great to have him back. especially after that 5 fingered salute to the utd fans. it was phil the nose thompsons fault that he left. oh how i despised him for about 3 days.

He hasn't been fully fit for ~5 years.
Robbie Fowler is an absolute legend of LFC but I truly hope that he doesn't come back and ruin his legacy because he's a shadow of his former self. Still a fine finisher but is simply not good enough for a side chasing the biggest honours in the game. I'd prefer to have Mellor in my 11.
Fowler's last 2 years at Liverpol were painful enough - clearly unfit, overelaborate flicks, dummys to nobody in particular, fluffing chances that he gobbled up as a teenager - please don't tarnish the memories of the good times by coming back Robbie lad.

Yeah not good enough for Pool anymore.
In his younger days he was unreal.
Still take him over Mellor though.

i'd welcome him back with open arms. he;d be better than anything we have at the moment. IF you read his autobiography i think the doubters on here might have a rethink. He does struggle for confidence when his fitness is lacking but on a ouple of occasions in the past few years he has gotten back to a level he was happyw ith and was smashing the goals in. Granted these occasions only last a month or so but if he got a run, who knows. Perhaps he could teach Cisse how to make a run or play for the team.
He's certainly worth a gamble on this deal. Come Home God!

You have to think of what he would do for morale and spirit in the dressing room too. He is a local lad and would surely be great for lads like Stevie G and Carra to have him back there as they are all good mates.
I have to agree that Fowler may not be the player he was but he is certainly capable of another shot at the big time and maybe pulling on the red shirt and playing for Liverpool again may be that boost he needs.
If its a pay-as-you-play then we have nothing to lose.
I for one would love to see Robbie Fowler back. Personally I would rather have my gran up front than that useless French tosser who is more interested in what his hair looks like each week.
Are the spice boys being reunited? Any chance of Phil Babb and McAteer coming back?

Don't think we are that desperate!
At least Robbie is eligible for Champs League - he could score against United in that too.......oh no, hang on......!!!
Why would Man city leave him go? What sort of wages is he on?

As much of a legend as he is I truly hope that Robbie doesn't soil his legendary status with the Liverpool fans on his 2nd spell at the club. I feel, from the fans
Rafa is not one for sentiment. He will have signed him (like Crouch, Reina & Sissoko) to address a particular area of Liverpool's play that he's not happy with, namely our finishing. It's not a huge gamble on his part (as there's no transfer fee & he's probably playing for peanuts for the chance to pull on the red shirt again). If it all goes pear-shaped he can simply ask Robbie to walk away in the summer. If not, we may have another Gary Mac-esque signing on our hands.
I hope that Robbie does himself proud, for his sake as much as the club's/fans'.

The way the fans were celebrating in the Gallows last night you'd swear tis Ronaldinho ye'd signed.
Could be brilliant, could be awful.
I dunno - he will rely on others around him doing a lot of the work to create his chances, which is grand considering the creative quality of Liverpools midfield. Gerrard's through balls over the top won't do him much good though as he is way too slow and defenders will find it really easy to catch him for that yard or 7 of pace.
Still - bet Arsenal are quaking in their boots.

he'll basically be relyning on crouch to knock down the ball so he can whip it in.it'll do me

A bit of a simplistic view but its a win win really - isn't it?
I mean he is free, should do wonders for morale (even though its prob high anyway) and if it doesn't work out he can just fuck off in the summer.
Plus - bar Crouch (and even he isn't scoring) the others aren't offering anything at the moment.
