Great result, Rio's still a waster, but at least he's scoring a few anyway!!!!

Still though, as good as beating the feckin scousers is, tis still only a fight for second place!!!!

The game wasn't exactly high on quality.....it just highlights the dearth of quality that now exists in a league increasingly populated by prancing poseurs more interested in how much of a fortune that they can accumulate than actually performing on the field.....the United centre half pairing of Rio and Wes brown is a case in point....this area was once the domain of real men like Bruce and Pallister, McQueen, McGrath at various points in the past.....now it's more like an advert for Wella with the two lads competing with Cisse and Kewell for 'best' or 'most ridiculous' hairstyle awards!!!!!

Compare these to the rugby lads....Munster and Leinster ...truly outstanding performances from real bravehearts.....and the vast majority of these guys earn less in ayear than Rio does in a week !!!!

Still, with us poor fools continuing to buy the shirts and watch the games, we can only blame ourselves for it!!!!

Amazing volley on the turn from Rio's little brother tonight. Fabulous technique. Benayoun more than matched it with a delicate chip from just outside the box (while under pressure). Two absolutely stunning goals.
