I have an agenda against everyone in the Sports forum. The only topic I start are for pure WUM purposes. I don't follow a team just in case I was ever let down and if I did I simply couldn't handle it.

Funnily enough, my own dedication to Wumming is similar to the dedication a certain Roy Keane shows when on the pitch. I hate him though. I went to his book signing in Eason's and he spelled my name wrong so I hate him ever since.

One of these days he'll read the Sports forum and then know what it's like to be hated by a true great. Now all I need is to be known as a true great.......

Don't be so hard on yourself POL. We all knew you love him

What do you make of this?

"Parading of 'IRA trophy' puts pressure on Celtic"

written by PAUL DRURY begins:

CELTIC Football Club was yesterday facing fresh controversy over alleged links between its fans and the IRA.......

They then wade through the old Athenry-gate non-story before informing readers that Tyrone have been "allowed" to take the All Ireland GAA trophy on a lap of honour of the ground before the SPL match with Dundee United on January 28.

It informs readers that the trophy is named after Sam Maguire, "head of IRA operations in London around the time of the Easter Rising in 1916."
It adds: "It has been suggested he ordered the IRA murder of Conservative MP Sir Henry Wilson in 1922."
After adding that Maguire had "sworn in Michael Collins to the Irish Republican Brotherhood in 1909 ", it goes on to say:
"The disclosure will come as a major embarrassment for Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell, who outlined the club's stand on fans' support for the IRA only last Wednesday."

As for barstooling, I follow all the GAA myself (hurling mostly). Does that make you more of a barstooler cos I see all the GAA games AND some Celtic ones too? ;)

what point exactly are you trying to make here? apart from admitting to be a barstool celthick fan, its not exactly a expose to suggest Sam Maguire was a republican is it? if there's nothing worse than a barstooler, its a barstool republican.

Just checking to see if you'd get as up in arms about the GAA/IRA link as you would about the Celtic/IRA link.

And you didn't so I'm satisfied.

You still don't get it, its the wide-scale forcing of a Irish historical context on a Scottish football club by bartoolers and barstool republicans who couldn't even sing amhran na bhfiann if it was put up to them, that is the issue.

But who's forcing it?

You have admitted on here before that I didn't bother you as a Celtic fan but others did. I don't know who's been forcing it (or who's made you aware of it being forced)

I never came on here and questioned the Scottishness of the club, or indeed the IRA/Sinn Fein for that matter yet these are things you constantly throw at me.
