mail server for out going mail ?

Anyone know of any servers somebody could use for outgoing mail in the U.S ? They were using smtp.oceanfree.net before but it doesn't work in the U.S. Are there any similar ones?

if you have a gmail account you can use that, but I think it set the sender's name to their gmail account name.

Set it up using gmail account. I'm using that. You can set the senders name to whatever you want it to be.....

Are you sure, i used my eircom webmail via gmail, but any email i sent came from my gmail account. It may have been thunderbird though.

Must have misunderstood something.

I'm saying that, with OutLook on my destop i used my gmail account as the mail server and i can put what ever name I what....

Is that whats been looked for?
