Focus might be a bit too big.

Polos keep their value well. Or you could just buy Japanese and drive it into the ground.

buy a 10 year old car for less than 2000 euro, and save the 3000 euro for repairs.

you're not buying a new car for 5000. and that is a dangerous price range. cars that cost 5000 euro are too expensive to walk away from if they need expensive repairs, and they are also at an age where things start to go wrong left and right. cars that are 5-6 years old are just past the warranty period for a reason. manufacturers put those warranty periods based on the liklihood that something will break.

i drive a not-so-stylyish renault 19, 1993, cost 1000 euro, and i've maybe put 1000 more in repairs, new tyres, etc.

someday, when i've money to piss away, and paid off a mortgage on a house, i'll buy a new car. till then, its only for those that want to pretend they've got money. it cracks me up the people shopping at lidl with their mercers...

If you're into girly cars you can get a daewoo matis 00 in ballincollig motors for 3450, I was gona get it but seeing as I recently realised that its a toss up between me mortgage or the car and not both, I opted to say fuck it to the car.

maybe they have mercs because they shop at lidl -

personally i would never go into lidl because its full of foreign types - but apparently they're okay for buying things like soap and kitchen paper and shit

The matiz isn't so much a girly car, more of just a shit car.

depends on what you are willing to pay on insurance

you could pick up an early ninties integra maybe a 1.6 if its your first car
a srs 1998 civic or civic saloon 1.5 vtec, you could get a 1999 nissan almera (its a twin cam) , you could get and imported levin/trueno like this one http://www.carzone.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?fuseaction =car&carID=324813
or a Audi Golf (97/98) or a VW A4 (96/97)

Spotted the same car as yourself driving back from Charleville today.

Also spotted an oul' doll driving one away from the garage by High Street, Wilton.

Only one in Ireland...heh heh heh.

The type R's are getting common now, there are a few in every town in Ireland at this stage. If you want to be different you could always spray one pink! A cracking car regardless of how many are in the country.

The GT Turbos have come and gone, well more or less anyway.

The type R's have been common now awhile.

One of the best handling front wheel drive cars around of it's time though.

One of the best probably the best, go kart those things are, only thing i've driven that was more fun was a 205 gti, a lad here at work just bought a DC5 integra type R - in blue. i gotta see what thats like to drive. Starbos are still all over the place but with the amount of sucks driving them they'll all soon be in the breakers yards anyway - same can be said for levins and gsr lancers

I have a 1986 original phase 1 no mods renault 5 GT Turbo 98000 miles, 1400cc, lovely car to drive a tad heavy on the juice and you have to put lead additive into the petrol. but i have to say pocket rocket is right and its an animal to go and you'd leave the starlet boys for dust..

offers are welcome
I spotted a manta 400 2.0ltr 16v GTE for sale in west cork and it was love at first sight
