Where would one pick up this mythical "Tech FM" signal?
My wireless receiver dates from the 1950s, and is one of those with the names of the stations printed on a large display panel on the front. There is BBC Kenya and the Australian Maritime Service, but no mention of a Tech FM.
Is there a way of arranging this device so that it could pick up the signal? It can only handle amplitude-modulated waveforms. Answer these questions.

There may be no need. The wireless is powered by several large "battery packs", similar to those used in the past by the British for expeditions to Antarctica or through the North East passage. I fear that the various chemicals have degraded over time, and that as a result the packs may no longer be functioning. One of them exploded earlier when I tried to recharge it. I'll have to miss your show.

i'm afraid you'l need a facility for phase de-modulation in your receiver.new-fangled methods will mean you also need a phase lock loop, and stereo decoder...as for the name,a bic biro should do the job, writhe tech fm on the receiver at around the 94.8MHz mark, in stylish calligraphic writing?

Oh right. Will I just give it a slap off the wall then?
The acid from the batteries is leaking all over the place too.
