How long before this is playing in Cork?
Anyone know where you can get a listing of what's coming up in the cinemas in Cork?

It's had poor sequencing, I think that it builds to the point of them getting it on poorly.

- I'm always up for it, man. I never stop, yo.
Sequencing? Hmmm... (spoiler alert) I think Jack had been doing the bould thing with fellas for years before he met Ennis. And it was Jack who made the moves.
Hmmm... that what you mean?

Just that, they seem to get over the whole issue of being adverse to the whole Gayness to saying right lets have a bit of the ole bumming.
It dosn't build right, I dosn't think.

- Yeah, but they're both nervous. It's an icky situation if one of 'em isn't into it and the other's zippy monkey for it. All that time on a mountain...

:lol!: harsh but true, watched this actually last night, whats the story with yer man, did he get battered to death by the rednecks for being gay or what? was your one telling your man a cover story on the phone?

- No, not true. Dickweed. The part where he gets killed is in Ennis's head, how he figures it. You should read the short story. It's heartbreaking.

lame film, if it was about a man and a woman it would have bombed, lets be honest about it, people only watched Bareback mountain to see some bumming

- How could it have been about a man and a woman? What would they have had to be afraid of?
And I didn't go to see it for the bumming, of which there is very little.
Your heart is cold.

funny, I was just about to start a thread on Brokeback Mountain, one of my favourite films of the past few years along with Pan's Labyrinth and Into the Wild, then I saw this old one. Pretty depressing (the thread I mean, not the film).
Its a shame this excellent film ended up becoming the subject of exactly the same pathetic and tunnelvisioned homophobia that its own story deals with. Dickheads like David Letterman and Jay Leno making gay cowboy jokes et al. It works as a simple gay love story but I think also it's an angry, political film about the tragedy of homophobia. That;s bound to turn off hetero audiences. It has brilliant performances, especially by Heath Ledger, also beautifully directed by Ang Lee and very thoughtfully adapted from the Annie Proulx short story.
most gay films I've seen so far are shit btw.
