I bought one of these (http://www.digital-shopper.co.uk/digital/detail/imuz-c700---20gb-digital-music-mp3-player---red/B0007YZDPQ.html) in October and have been running it under windows XP with no problems up until last weekend.
Now whenever I connect the mp3 player the pc doesn't recognise it so I can't transfer files to it. The mp3 player itself works perfectly and when I plug the usb cable in I get the little emssage on the screen saying it's connected but it won't show up on the pc.
Mr Sooz got the same one last week and his one works perfectly so I've no idea what the problem is.

Anyone??

Might be the USB port.

Push it in until it recognises it or says it doesn't.

I did and it made no difference and Mr Sooz's works fine with the same cable/port.

Might be that the USB player is being assigned a drive letter
that is already assigned to something else.

Right click on my computer> manage > disk management

if you can see the mp3 player here as a disk (presuming you transfer files by just drag and drop), right click on it and reassign a new letter to it.

I'd imagine it's the USB cable so, try his cable?

Does the 'Unplug or eject hardware' icon appear by the clock?

Nope.

Nope.

Does it appear when he plugs his in? (hee hee hee)
It has to be enabled.

If it's enabled but never appears, then something's wrong with your MP3 player

It automatically appears when he plugs his one in and it used to when my one was working but now nothing happens.

Maybe the player was reset and you have to re-configure the software or something like that.

I wouldn't think so, if it had been reset there would be nothing on it when I switch it on and I tried reinstallnig the drivers and it made no difference.

If his works then the problem lies with your player.

I misread, I thought you're player worked in his machine.
You can probably disregard my above advice.

Your player is probably fucked.
