William Gallas has warned Chelsea that it would take a wage increase for him to put pen-to-paper on a fresh contract.
The talented Frenchman has established himself as a key component in Mourinho's machine but appears to be far from enamored with his current deal.
Lagging behind top earners such as John Terry and Frank Lampard, Gallas is looking for a hike up in his own earnings thought to be in the region of £35,000-a-week.
Talks over a new contract reached an impasse over the summer and whilst Mourinho has always stated his utmost confidence that he would be able to keep the 28-year-old in West London, Juventus are believed to be circling.
''I have played for Chelsea for almost five years and think I prove my quality every day,'' said Gallas.
''You can be top in one position one week, but the next you're not because you're playing a different position.
''I'm not a player who likes to stay in the same country for eight to ten years
