Well whatever happens tonight between Derry and Saint Pats tonight, the title will come down to a winner takes all decider at turners cross. Cork at the moment are 2 points clear. Reagardless of the result tonight whoever wins the game will win the title. Who do people think can do it? Can the turners cross factor swing it in corks favour or will derry continue their impressive record at turners cross in recent years?

Well if derry lose this afternoon, doesnt that mean city need just a draw next friday. Not saying they will play for it if derry lose tonight.

If Derry draw it is in our favour points wise ... but probably better going into the game needing a win. Derry have won so many games in the last five minutes this year its unreal so us playing for a draw aint a great tactic ... anyway ... to win the title, i'd prefer to beat Derry and being honest .... we are the better team ... i know anything can happen but we are a technically better team.

Down through the years it hasn't been favourable to city in deciders at home.
Im not thinkin that though!Yes,they're more of a technical side but you just never know..
The derry match is on the tele there ina bit so suppose have a gander.

Well Derry won so they are now ahead of cork by a point. they need only a draw whereas cork need to win. Time to go to work lads

We are good enough to easily beat Derry .... just have to do it now !!
In our own backyard for the title ... i have a feeling the lads will be well up for this :-) ...... It could very well be the best night even in the cross !!

Can anybody remember Dundalk in 91? City only needed a draw at the Cross but Dundalk scored an 85th minute winner and took the title. It's better that City need to win against Derry though it'll be a tough task.

Nah, it was definitely in the last ten minutes. Sickener - a bigger anti-climax you could not get.

Was in a cab before going to the game on Fri night and the driver told me he had just brought a City player to a Physio near the submarine bar in Dublin.
He didnt know the name of the player but wasnt one of the starting 11 v Shels.

I have to laugh at that sort of quote. The tickets were on general sale as always, it's not as if you had to suck major cock to get your hands on one like. "Normal fans" should have been well aware that the demand for this game would be 10 fold that of any other. There were still tickets on sale the day after City beat Rovers for fuck sake.

Laugh away but you obviously didn't read the link that was posted above, lots of the Derry tickets were given to officials and sponsors. Leaving only a certain percentage for the fans.

observing this from the other side of the planet i can't help but think that all the commotion seems to be surrounding derry and they're feeding it with a lot of fighting talk. City seem to be keeping very quiet. accurate observation?
It's always the quiet ones, hopefully it will prove right on Friday night

Was one of my first visits to the cross. Will never forget that day. From what I can remember there was a huge crowd there, well over 10,000 and that bastard Tom McNulty scored the goal that gave Dundalk the league.Lets hope for a different outcome Friday night.Reckon if City go at them from the start, then theres no reason why we all wont be celebrating at about 9.40pm on friday nite.Roll on the match.Come on City.
