Exxon mobil posted quaterly profits of $10Bn, that is aprox. $80,000 PROFIT every minute. That is a 75% increase from last quater. These record profits were attributed to high oil prices.
And they keep telling us that the reason petrol is expensive is that oil is expensive, so why are they milking so much profit, pack of wankers.

eerrr.. because Exxon exists to make a profit? and if it makes a profit, the share price goes up - and if the share price goes up - all of our pensions go up...
yer forgetting that a huge chunk of the petrol cost is made up of government tax.
if the government was clued on, they'd lessen the tax when the oil price spiked up - so that the economy wouldnt be hit that hard.
But they wont do it - cos they need the revenue to pay the odd 50 million to their friends in De Lout and Trash, and the odd 20 million for champagne and canape knees up like Cork 2005. and the odd 750k for a knitting map made up of unpaid volunteers...
so there.
