I used to think I knew what it was. Turns out I hadnt a clue, but ya what i thought was jackin house was various forms of chicago house.
Seems these days the term has a similar front to the term funky used in "funky house". Stereotyped
I suppose the best description for me would be any thing that jacks your body
jackin house is stuff like adonis and old farley jackmaster stuff. people like lnr pioneered this imo. something to me stands out as being jackin when it has the distinctive bouncy jackin beats

I always though Jackin' house was the Cork spelling of Dublin origin 'Jackeen House'....
Sorry.

Smoking contaminated parsley again?
No it was a novelty hit in the late 80's by a Dublin based dodgy dance outfit called the Reynolds Girls
It was at the time that the "Jackin" craze was sweeping the UK and they released their hit "I'd Rather Jack"
Going old is rolling Stones
No music form the past
i'd rather Jack
Than Fleetwood Mac
Funny, that years later no-one remembers these talentless msifits while the Stones and Fleetwood Mac still shift loads of their old records!

Were those 2 cloth eared bints from Dublin ? All I remember was 2 dodgy wans hopping around in yellow tracksuits on TOTP with pendants in the shape of Africa, baseball caps etc - This "tune" slowed the development of good house music for about 10 minutes...
