Bad news for the Cork team.

It has been revealed that Brian Corcoran suffered a recurrence of the shoulder injury that kept him out for a number of weeks after the conclusion of the Munster SHC.

Corcoran’s replacement in the Clare game, Neil Ronan, is also struggling with ligament damage.

In addition, Wayne Sherlock and Tom Kenny are suffering from dead legs while Erin’s Own star Kieran Murphy is undergoing investigations to determine whether he has suffered a broken finger.

hopefully they'll all be back for the 11th of september.

You'd think the Gardai would have enough on their plate.

Aren't they pulling the senior team out of the Championship cos they won't postpone the game for them? Erin's Own now that is.

if the game was postponed it would throw the whole fixture schedule into even more chaos. Its harsh on Erins Own but the county board have taken the correct decision in this instance.

I don't think it's the incorrect decision. If anything I think it shows a distinct lack of confidence in their own players to do the job. They should use it as an "everyone against us so lets get it up them" rather than throwing the rattle.

especially considering the enormous pool of talent they currently have!

Galway 2-11, Kilkenny 3-5 HT.

gALWAY WERE CRUISING AND COMMITED SOME KAMIKAZE DEFENDING.
Anyone's match.

Very exciting game but the surface was in an awful state today, defenders were slipping all over the place.
Galaway won't get haf as much change off Corks backs and Galways full back line looked especially vulnerable.

Id say hope for a dry day on the 11th

Cork by two or three pts.

It would have been better for us if Kilkenny had stolen it in the last few minutes with a couple of goals.
We'd beat them no bother but Galway will be a much tougher proposition. We'll be overwhelming favourites so Galway will be totally relaxed.
They've never beaten us in a final too so they are due a win. Still, the last time we played Galway in an All-Ireland Hurling Final we won the
double so maybe it's a good omen!

im sorry but thats just wrong.

Kilkenny would be no easy day out, and anyone who says otherwise would be better off not commenting on hurling.

the game today was very entertaining but the amount of goals shipped was an indicator of the state of the playing surface and the torrid time the backs had as a result.

Im gla we've Galway and i fancy us to do it but Kilkenny showed twice today, at ten and eleven pts down in both halves, right them off at your peril.
End of the rod for DJ, he should have gone two years ago.

This Kilkenny team have been on the wane since we stuffed them last September. Limerick would have beaten them in the quarters if they had any forwards like! I would be super-confident of beating them if they had won today. They have not replaced Noel Hickey as today proved and their subs bench isn't strong enough.
Agree with you about DJ, definitley a man that has overstayed his welcome.

g'way out of that,i havent missed a game all year, promised myself I wouldnt because i missed the most of them last year being in the states.
have been onto contacts outside of cork today as my hunt for tickets begins in earnest.putting my name in for club ticket too but the chances of me coming out in draw are slim as the club will get shag all tickets as usual.galway are in the minor final too so they will have a larger allocation than cork.

Tipperary man Seamus Roche has been appointed to referee Sunday week's Guinness All-Ireland Hurling championship final between Cork and Galway.

It will be the first time the Kilsheelan clubman has taken charge of an All-Ireland SHC final. Roche already whistled March's AIB All-Ireland club final between James Stephens and Athenry, and last month's Leinster decider between Kilkenny and Wexford.
