Next up is Derry City at the Brandywell on Friday evening. Its another 7:30 kick off and is being shown live on RTE 2. If we win this one i'm sure that we'd have the league for certain. Lets hope so!!

FT 3-1.It's not the end of the world,15 games unbeaten was a great run. We are still 3 points ahead,it was too good to be true for us to go up there and win, especially as our previous record there is so poor.
It was always going to be tough fixture, a draw would have been a fantastic result. It depends now if we start to drop points and Derry keep on winning. They still have to play us down at the cross so we should still win the title if we keep our heads. C'mon City!!
Disappointing result, the better team won on the night but there is a long way to go and City will bounce back. After all it is only defeat no 2 in the league all season.

Agree totally with you. They were by far the better team on the night.Lets hope City can bounce back straight away and get a good result in Europe next thursday night. Its all to play for now as regards the league.

Derry could have won by more to be honest. It's not the end of the world obviously, and it shows what a fine jobe Steven Kenny has done up at the Brandywell, we were struggling to live with them at times. We could have nicked a point but it wasn't to be (and rightly so, the spotter was a disgraceful decision!). John O'Flynn's misses and greediness cost us along with Kearney and O'Donovan having shockers on the flanks, which meant we gave bad ball away. Roy needs a break to be fair, he's run out of steam and form in the last few games. They probably had one eye on thursday's game too, which is only natural. A chance of a big team in the first round is a huge prize for the players.
Come on city!

O flynn is a fucking eejit.
Was watching the game in Tom Barry's. Brian Lennox was watching the game in there. Said unlucky to him, he said Derry were just better than em.

Derry were the better team on the night, but its no disaster. We're still top and we have a home game against Derry to come yet. If anything, winning up there and going 9 points clear might have been a bad thing as it might have led to people getting complacent. No harm in the odd defeat as it keeps people on their toes. On a side note, the craic up in Derry was amazing, Derry fans were brilliant and great night had by all- all fans joined in a rendition of "fuck the dubs" after the final whistle :)

should be a daycint end to the season
friday night down the cross was good. Decent first half, could have been about 3 goals between both sides. Great to get the win and go into the final day of the season on the back of a decent run.
Imagine if Roy had been up front all season, would at least 1 of our drawn games have been a win? but hindsights a great thing I suppose, come on city
