if only he could go to a place where he wouldn't be made run around, or head the ball, some place a little less competitive...

He and Stan Collymore would make a great striking partnership for any club!

priceless! you heard it hear first! A pairing so ridiculous it's only a matter of time before it becomes fact. A suitable Kluivert replacement...

The best striking anelka does is when he refuses to play

this is the signing I've been waiting for, i reckon with Anelka it would be worth putting a ton on Souness to be the first to go.

The man is a joke.Hes had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus!!!
i do agree that he's a bit of a nonce but hes played with some great clubs and could do a terrific job for a club if he could only settle.
That's never gonna happen with Sounness though. Without a doubt the biggest wanker in English football. I'd say if he got a chance he'd start a row with Mother Theresa.
I agree about Anelka at the pool though. I thought he played well and could have been excellent if he got a permanent move.

I never found him convincing, but if you want a man to turn a center half and get in on goal, there are few better. Lovely finisher too. He's very much suited to a counter attacking game though, and i don't like strikers that can't/won't head the ball.
Souness is a prick, and i hope he goes down. His signings already have left the newcastle midfield ridiculously unbalanced.

hmm a strict disciplinarian like Souness prone to disagreements with influential players and a proven flake like Anelka who has failed to settle at almost every one of the many many clubs he's been at in his career??
smacks of desperation on Newcastle's part really.

Anelka happy at club would be a far more remarkable headline.

Sounness always seems to go for these idiot type players though(kluivert, bowyer to name a couple).
It's almost as if he wants to argue with his players.

well to be fair, Kluivert was Robson's signing
but I can't understand why any club would opt for Anelka ,with is track record for being a barmpot, mind you the same could be said for Souness.

Exactly. I can't believe he's still managing in the premiership.

Liverpool, with their cast of "reformed" characters, are the new Newcastle surely.
All they need now is for someone to misplace a mobile phone...
