amybody been on to the www.guinnesshurling. ie site for their team of legends.
it is very biased AGAINST cork, very few cork hurlers are choices.
something needs to be done about it, it's a disgrace.

some joke alright. Classic Leinster shite.

right what fucked way have they got of including players?

We've no cork half forwards and no Midfielders.

No NiALL Mac, No Gerry O'Connor.

And we've no past cork players yet the likes of Jamsie O'connor and John Leahy are included. Was it a woman organised this travesty of a site or what??

some joke alright. Classic Leinster shite.

right what fucked way have they got of including players?

We've no cork half forwards and no Midfielders.

No NiALL Fitz, No Gerry O'Connor.

who the fuck is niall fitz?? Jerry O connor should not be there as a midfielder yet either, he only been playing the position for about a year. overall i think the selection is about right, there are plenty of cork backs, only 2 forwards(imo ben is lucky to be considered). this poll will be hijacked by tipp, kilkenny and clare no marks anyway so i wouldn't be getting too upset about it

john leahy was a legend of a man and one of the best players of the last 30 years(arguably tipps best), so to say its a travesty that he's up for selection is crazy. you have to have jamesie there too.

my team was
fitzhenry
sherlock, lohan, willie o connor
sean og, corcoran, whelehan
baker, lynch
leahy, cooney, jamsie
eoin kelly, DJ, deano

breakdown is 4 cork, 4 clare, 2 kil, 2 offaly, 2 tipp 1 galway

it would be interesting to hear some others

this is my new line in any langer tom arguements.

example:

langer tom: sir alex is a tactical magician, just look at his record, you can't argue with it.

lamps: stop embarrasing yourself you buffoon.

langer tom: why don't you try to dispute my watertight assertion rather than trading insults. i come on here for reasoned sporting debate and all i get is this drivel.

lamps: who the fuck is niall fitz. checkmate

Don't mind that - I couldn't be arsed looking for the year I was born so I just clicked 1993 or something.

Then I gets a message about being too young to view a site promoting alcoholic beverages, so I just go back and click another page.

Way to stop underage drinking Guiness you muppets

this site is only about the last 10 years, since guiness have started sponsoring the championship, yes? remember Cork circa 95-98 were shite and came out of nowhere to win in 99.Jamsie O Connor was the outstanding wing forward in the country from 95-98 and deserves his place in that list,as does Leahy, whatever you think about him as a man, some of his displays before he got seriously injured have lived with me for a long time,he was an outstanding hurler.

Perhaps instead of having a go at the leinster bias,we should take a step back and take off the red blinkers for a moment!

Remember the replay in Thurles 91? Best performance from a hurler I've ever seen

Niall Mc obviously, a typo.

as for contending that Leahy deserves to be in there on the last 30 years. Then what about Gerr Cunningham, Kevin Hennessy, JBM. It's either a modern selection or not. A hodge podge mix of whoever popped in to the compilers head is not good enough.

to have sully ahead of Sherlock or O'Hailpin makes no sense on any level.

Leahy's in there on the last 10-15 years. It's a modern enough selection and he thoroughly deserves his place. If Niall Fitz/Mac turned out to be half the player Leahy was we'd be very lucky indeed. Leahy was still playing quality in the 90's.

Gerry O'Connor who you've argued for is also a superb player at present, but Legend, not yet, hopefully he will be. IMO they've a fair selection up there. Ben O'Connor is lucky enough to be in there too.

In Leinster, Guinness would have about 99% of the stout market, whereas in Cork they would be lucky to have 50%.

So the site is unrepresentative, and should be ignored.

There is only one statistic that really matters:
