The £30.8million Chelsea star has failed to live up to expectations with just three goals in the Premiership since his arrival from AC Milan in the summer.
Dynamo President Igor Surkis has urged Sheva to make a swift return to his home country before it is too late and has conceded he is ready to splash the cash in order to bring him back to Ukraine.
“Going to Chelsea was the biggest mistake in Shevchenko’s career,” said Surkis.
“Milan President Silvio Berlusconi will never take him back and I hope I’ll be able to offer him a deal that will allow him to return to Dynamo.”

Without getting into the Alanis Morrisette argument, I think it's ironic that someone with 6000+ posts on a website whose title has socialist/communist overtones following Abramovich's Chelsea. An oligarch who made his money off the back of an ill-advised privatisation of national resources when the neo-cons introduced the free-market to the formerly communist Russia with all the subtlety of a body cavity search. Money he's now wasted on yet another vanity project, a project which poses an implicit threat to the very fabric of an English game which is increasingly selling its soul to the almighty buck. The money wasted on that muppet Drogba was robbed straight from the hands of the Russian people
Nope, don't like Chelsea at all, so I don't.
i think pubes was thinking of me when he was talking about drogba being a good foward. my conversation was that drogba or crouch would be two players id love to see link up with henry.
i was slated for saying it at the time.
pubes claims he was saying he was the bees knees....
ehh no!!!

Aha, so that's what you were at on the other thread.
On the 29th June 2005, I think I was charitable in describing Drogba as a muppet. I think "useless donkey" would have been more accurate.
I only came around on him from the start of 2006 when he started to display some of his full capacity.
If you were predicting he'd come good long before that, kudos, kudos.
Edit: I'm still sticking you on ignore mind you. Pubes? A play on my t'internet name? Madness.

With rumours of Fat Frank being smitten with the thought of sitting on the bench at Barca his agent is really playing hard-ball to get a monster deal out of Chelsea should he decide to stay.
Lampard 'indispensable to Blues'
http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42478000/jpg/_42478645_lamps203.j pg Lampard has two years left on his current Chelsea deal
Frank Lampard's agent says the England star has become "indispensable" to Chelsea - and that his new deal should reflect his status.
Lampard's contract expires in two years and he is in talks with Chelsea.
His agent Steve Kutner says he is aware of a clause in Fifa's transfer rules that means he could buy out the rest of his deal this summer.
Lampard is not set to use the clause but Kutner told the Independent: "He is as indispensable to Chelsea as anyone."
Under article 17 of Fifa's transfer regulations, players can unilaterally cancel their contracts after a "protected period" expires, if they pay "buy-out" compensation to their clubs, based on wages.
The three-year protection period on Lampard's current five-year deal runs out this summer, so he could theoretically leave then in exchange for two years' wages, believed to be around £8m.

Kutner added: "We know about the rule and I've talked to Peter Kenyon, Chelsea's chief executive, about what Frank's worth to Chelsea, and what he's worth to other clubs."
He insisted Lampard's was indispensable, "not just creating goals and scoring them but as a marketing icon. His shirt sales outstrip any other player by four to one".
Earlier this year Kutner rejected a suggestion from Kenyon that Chelsea were "well down the line" towards agreeing a new deal with Lampard - although he insists he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.
He said: "He has two years left on his deal and it's down to Peter Kenyon to talk to me, which I'm happy to do.
"If he wants to leave he could but that is nowhere near his mind at the moment."
Speaking to BBC Five Live, Kenyon said: "I think it is fair to say with John Terry and Frank we are well down the line with new contracts that will keep them at the club for substantially longer and I think that would be a big boost for everyone. "We are involved in the best set-up, involved in one of the best English clubs why would they want to play football anywhere else?" Lampard joined Chelsea in the summer of 2001 from West Ham and played a key role in the Blues' title triumphs in 2005 and 2006.

Sidwell seals Chelsea deal
Robben to sign New Contract
23/05/2007 - 8:53:48 AM
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will turn his attentions to signing a striker and defender after capturing midfielder Steve Sidwell from Reading.
Sidwell has agreed to join the FA Cup winners on a free transfer from July 1.
The 24-year-old has quit Reading after rejecting a new £25,000-per-week, four-year deal.
Sidwell opted to join the Blues despite interest from Newcastle United, Everton and Aston Villa.
He is Mourinho’s first signing of the summer and will be a valuable addition to the squad.
Chelsea winger Arjen Robben is also close to agreeing a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
The club have been in talks for weeks over a new contract extension and the player’s agent and father, Hans Robben, expects the Dutch winger to shortly sign a new five-year deal.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich but insists he wants to remain at Chelsea after their 1-0 FA Cup final victory over Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday.
Chelsea are believed to be ready to offer Robben an improved five-year deal and Robben senior confirmed: “We are close to a new deal. We have not agreed all the details, but I don’t expect any big problems any more.”
When asked about the link with Bayern Munich, Robben senior added: “Nonsense.
“Of course there were several clubs last period who asked for Arjen, but we always had the intention to come to an agreement with Chelsea.
“That they will now sign him for five years proves their confidence in his qualities.”

Interesting one Shammy. Is it just me or are Chelsea shopping from the lower end of the market suddenly?
Good signing but hardly in the same class as the other centre mids there.

Chelsea have struck terms with Bayern Munich's Bosman prospect Claudio Pizarro.
The Times says Chelsea have agreed personal terms on a four-year contract worth £50,000 a week with Claudio Pizarro, the Peru striker, who will join them on July 1. Pizarro, 28, scored 97 goals in 229 appearances for Bayern Munich and has been recruited to apply further pressure to Andriy Shevchenko and offer cover when Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou are at the African Cup of Nations in Ghana, in January and February.

Rafa frustration as Chelsea in £12M Alves talks
tribalfooball.com - June 04, 2007
http://www.tribalfootball.c om/images2/spacer.gif
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez faces more transfer frustration with Chelsea set to trump the Reds for Sevilla wing-back Daniel Alves.
The Sun says Blues academy director Frank Arnesen met the Seville star's agent at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane last Friday.
Alves, 25, who can play full-back or right-wing, was there as part of the Brazil squad and played in the 1-1 draw with England at Wembley.
He has been a Kop target for the past year. But Benitez has not yet made an offer, as he waits for confirmation of his budget from Liverpool's American owners.
Real Madrid have also been chasing him and reports in Spain suggested they were close to doing a deal.
Yet now Chelsea are confident they can nick him. Boss Jose Mourinho hopes to do so by offering Paolo Ferreira or Khalid Boulahrouz in exchange.

Chelsea to hijack £17 million Liverpool move 3rd June 2007 By Staff Writer
Liverpool are in advanced talks with Lyon's £17 million rated winger Florent Malouda but could face stiff competition for his services with Chelsea plotting a late bid.
Malouda would favour a move to Milan according to the News of the World but interest from Chelsea could also come into play with the West Londoners reportedly considering a bid.
The paper quotes a source close to the player as saying:
"There are discussion between Liverpool and Malouda as well as Liverpool and Lyon. For the moment there is no agreement.
"Other clubs are also in the frame like Chelsea, Roma and Juventus. Malouda is dreaming of going to Milan. One thing is certain - he wants to leave Lyon."

Any interest from Chelsea, real or not, will drive up the prices
United's outlay for two young players, will also drive up the prices elsewhere too
For example, Ribery being sold for 16 million is now seen as a major bargain, his club should surely look for more
It's gonna be an interesting summer

Robben on way to Real as Chelsea agree £7m Drenthe deal
By Jason Burt
Published: 18 July 2007
Arjen Robben is due to leave Chelsea's pre-season tour of the United States tomorrow and fly to Spain to join Real Madrid - while the Premiership club yesterday agreed a fee of €10m (£6.76m) to sign the exciting Dutch Under-21 international Royston Drenthe from Feyenoord.
Although personal terms have been finalised on a six-year contract, a fee is still to be agreed over the sale of Robben. But a source close to the deal said last night that the difference was now "not so much as to stop the move happening".
Real have offered €19m (£12.8m) while Chelsea are hoping to secure €22m for the 23-year-old, who has made clear that he wants to quit Stamford Bridge having, with two years left on his present contract, refused to sign a new five-year deal. Robben has endured a difficult relationship with the Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, especially over his injury record, and has made no secret of his desire to play for Real.
Publicly, Chelsea have stated they want Robben to stay and there are those among the hierarchy, especially Frank Arnesen, the chief scout, who have argued against the transfer, but negotiations have continued with Real.
The signing of left-winger Florent Malouda made it clear that Robben, who has sought assurances that he would be a first-team regular, could go. Drenthe is not a replacement for Robben, although the 20-year-old has successfully moved forward from left-back to left midfield in the past year.
The powerful, quick Drenthe was a star of the Netherlands' successful Under-21 European Championship campaign, which alerted several Premiership clubs. Real also expressed an interest but it is Chelsea who have made the decisive move. Feyenoord want Drenthe to stay with them for one more season and, although this is still to be agreed with Chelsea, it appears that the Premiership club may say yes. Personal terms have also to be negotiated with Drenthe.
Robben is expected to undergo a medical and be presented as a Real player by the weekend. The Spanish champions are more determined to land Robben having failed in their attempts to sign Kaka or Cesc Fabregas.
Chelsea are considering using the money they receive from the sale to fund a move for Seville right-back Daniel Alves. The Brazilian has been a long-term target and Chelsea hope to tempt Seville into agreeing a deal with a €20m bid.
Intriguingly, it appears that Chelsea's owner, Roman Abramovich, has told executives that they must generate money if they want to go for the 25-year-old defender who has made plain that he wants to move.
At the same time another Brazilian, Alex, has told friends he does not want to move to Chelsea after all. It is understood that the PSV Eindhoven central defender has misgivings as to how many games he will play next season.
He is available to Chelsea for just $1 because Abramovich funded his move to the Netherlands in the first place. Mourinho made clear in January that he did not rate the player and, following the signing of Tal Ben Haim, and with John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho as his first choice, Alex's opportunities may be limited. Nevertheless, Chelsea will push ahead with the deal and expect Alex to sign once a work permit is granted.

He was one of the better players at the U-21 Euros. Could be a very good signing . As much as I like Robben , I don't think he's suited to the current Chelsea set up. He'll do very well at Madrid.

Drenthe is a very good prospect from what I saw of him in the recent U21 tournament. Energetic and aggressive player with good skill. Should take to the Premiership like a duck to water.
