Whats the scéal with Colin Healy? Last i heard he re-broke his leg in training, i can't even remember how long ago that was. How much longer on the shelf is he going to be? Will he play a part in irelands world cup campaign d'yer reckon? I hope he has ditched the rumored "bad habits" that surfaced while he was at celtic.
Mick Mccarthy broke Healys leg in a 5 a side in training, the prick.

Agreed. I certainly hope he does well. He always seemed to do it in an Ireland shirt but was poor in a Celtic jersey. Still a likeable lad though and hope he has a long career.

Only says he's returned home. He could also be heading back over once his injury is clear.

No decent club over there might want to take the risk...if so...I hope City get in there!!!!

i think the most worrying thing about the injury was that the leg broke in the exact same place the second time...could be on the back of his mind when ( if? ) he regains full fitness and throws himself into that first tackle in training ( whereever that will be ).

Healy is a great lad, but I think there is serious question marks over whether he'll return to football again, his injury is v serious, If he does return though it isn't going to be to Cork City that much I do know.

And you know this how ?? .... hes from Ballincollig .... and i have heard different, but obviously wouldn't believe it because a.) it seems like its a long way off yet and b.) you never know what can happen, its football afterall.
There is argument that no decent club across the water will though him, none wanting to take a risk, you said yourself it is a serious injury. The lower divisions over are basically kick-shít so if it is that bad .... probably the worst place for him.
There is nothing saying that he or his medical bills would be welcome at City either, but definitely City would be more inclinded to look after their own, as it were.
The 'bad habits' thing .... did anything actually come of that, i mean was there ever any truth to it. I know there was never any tests or anything, and just because the media are trying to sell a few papers off the back of it, doesn't make it any truer that. I mean its not like he did a Rio on it or anything. Some were saying that it was just a clash of personalities and nothing to do with habits. Anyway .... we all know that bad stories are the ones people remember.
The guy from what i have seen, is spoke of very highly by all his friends and guys he used to play with and i've never heard a bad word against his character. Seems liek a decent guy .... and i'd wish him the best of luck.

Healy had returned to full training after the second leg break, during pre-season he complained of a knee problem which the physio geniuses at sunderland insisted was psycological, and made him train through the pain, making a simple injury much worse writing off another season, I read during the week that he had been released by Sunderland, but could train with them unpaid. He really deserves a break at this stage, he's avery nice fellow and I certainly wish him well.

I heard that too, that he has grounds to sue Sunderland as a result of that decision to make him train, dont know how true it is again obviously. He has got a very raw deal if that is the case though.

SAFC laid off most of the physios as a money saving scheme..... which has probably backfired seeing as how Healy was allegedly one of the few players left at the club on Prem wages...

I know he won't come back to city cos he said it himself. He said if he cant come back into the first two divisions in England its not worth coming back at all.
