after getting a ticket for this year. (joanna newsom, cass mccombs and the flaming bastards are a couple of the few names released so far http://www.thegreenmanfesti val.co.uk/)
looking into booking flights. which are damn cheap. 60e return cork/cardiff.
booking time off work and what not already so trying to get dates staightened out.
anyone here recommend the quickest/easiest way from cardiff airport to the site. i know you can get a train to abergavenny station and shuttles run from there. suggestions? much obliged.

Think Cork songs was at this last year could be worth sending him a pm.

If i remember there was a bus running direct from Bristol airport to the festival site so presume there will be one runnung from Cardiff as well.

Went to this last year, but got a train straight down from Edinburgh (changing a few times) to Abergavenny. Free shuttle to the festival from there. My mate flew from Amsterdam to Cardiff, and got the train to Abergavenny. Prob the best bet.

Brilliant festival by the way. Teaming with kiddies, amazing cider, and the line-up last year was second to none.

if you drive, rent a car
if you do drive, prepare for a mud pit and traffic jam on Monday morning

if you don't drive, go to liftshare.co.uk or the greenman facebook forum or website messageboard and look for lifts from abergaveny

don't forget cork swansea will be up and running by then
think that's how I/we're going this year

I was thinking of going but this worries me.

Nah man, it's the business. I mean babbies and toddlers by the way, very few kids above 5. They just give it a nice atmosphere during the day.

Sure they're all in their sleeping bags by 8 or 9, when you're getting properly ballbagged yourself.

I suppose it's not the festival to get ridiculously messy at. Which can be a good thing, plenty of others for that.

I'll definitely go again, just not this year.

They were still serving gatt at 5 am. I only discovered the little after hours place (small tent, playing old school hip hop and the like) on the last night. Gutted, cos the main late night tent was gash (Beyond the Wizards Sleeve and those FSOL gombeens were both terrible).
