Beatmakers including Daedelus and J.Rocc turn old vinyl into new music in this mini doc directed by Bryan Younce and Mark McNeill. Buy it here.

Its only up for a week. features Daedelus, J,rocc, Nobody and Ras G. I thought it was just going to be a doc about sampling, which it isn't. the directors gave each of them a 5er to buy 5 second hand rekkids and make a new beat just using samples from these 5 records.

Its a great watch

Watched this last night. Heads over on another forum are questioning where J-Rocc got the Different Strokes sample from as it wasn't in the 5 records he bought....also seemed a bit suspect that he picked up "that one" Streisand album...have to say I agree.

Ya, seemed like a Dilla beat by numbers to me...the Ras G is fire, as stated on another forum

Ya, seemed like a Dilla beat by numbers to me...

first thing i thought as well! its the syl johnson loop and the drums... the snare sounds a lot like the hit in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdZK0HeYkwM&feature=related

in general those two beats sound alike!!!

but the syl johnson over the whole thing sounds very like the way dilla used the Mountain - Long Red over beats.. adds great impact..

Dilla bitten or not still sounds nice, but questionable..
