I bet they'd love another crack at the north......

"British Business Secretary Peter Mandelson today accused the Tories of jeopardising the North's peace process for the sake of party political advantage.

His attack follows the disclosure that shadow Northern Ireland secretary Owen Paterson convened secret talks between the DUP and the UUP – at the country estate of the Marquis of Salisbury."

Brits must absolutely detest NI.

UK is run by Labour or Tory, by definition the NI MPs will always be the opposition.

The economy is only surviving by incentives, massive policing costs, no natural resources...

They'd be out of there in a shot.

What makes me laugh is the clowns down here who want to re-integrate it. We cant even manage Limerick, never mind Belfast.

It's no coincidence that this deal needs to get done before the GE in Britain. Cameron will bring a completely different tone to the north - his party is not called the conservative and unionist party for nothing. Still I think Mandelson was wrong in what he said today - he of all people has done more to fuck things up in the north than anyone else - it could be said he is was far more of a "unionist" than Cameron will ever be.
