Michael Martin has said that the blasphemy laws can interfere with the right of people to practice their religion freely !
He is also concerned with human rights issues.
So is the bold Michael making a play against Dermot Ahern ?

Of course, I should have mentioned it is the blasphemy laws in Pakistan that Martin was displaying concern for in his written answer in the Dail in April.
At that time we didnt actually have a law criminalising blasphemy !
