Michael Martin has said that the blasphemy laws can interfere with the right of people to practice their religion freely !
He is also concerned with human rights issues.
So is the bold Michael making a play against Dermot Ahern ?

Of course, I should have mentioned it is the blasphemy laws in Pakistan that Martin was displaying concern for in his written answer in the Dail in April.
At that time we didnt actually have a law criminalising blasphemy !

Well Dan said, in the Senate that the new blasphemy law ' nullifies' the offence of blasphemy.
Dont ask me what that means, but he voted for it so I guess that means he is in favour of it.
I not sure if is worried about the blasphemy laws in Pakistan or not ?
Any Greens here cam tell us about pakistan ?
