Saw him play tonight against St Patricks Ath

In fairness he is a gem of a footballer still

He should be playing at English Championship or even Premiership level

Same with Joe Gamble if he was 6 inches taller (according to Dave Barry)

Healy has been immense all season. man of the match in the majority of games.
For his own sake i hope he leaves, be gutted to see him go but he is wasted at city playing with the dross around him. He should be aiming higher than scunthorpe.

Different class

I'd agree with all that, I just didn't think glue was aware of clubs the other side of the pond.

Good to see him playing well again, hes a talented footballer. playing ball with him most summers, years ago on the green in our estate, its amazing the difference between good local players and players who turn out to be good enough at the highest level. Like playing against a ghost, could take him down, not to mind trying to get the ball from him.

Played his best football with the hoops............... .....genius.

Why didn't a epl or pepsi fizzy drink championship team buy him from them when he left? ie. not sunderland, a proper club

Not a patch on Beech Road in Banana Island. Nobody could cope with the shape of the pitch. Shamrock Drive always had an ok team. Holly Road were poor though.

Worse "pitch" in the country, was called banana island for a reason.

There was talks of Holly Road entering MSL or AUL they were that good

We had a decent team on Banana Island alright.....always used the pitch to our advantage as well :D

Didn't most of the Holly Rd crew end with the island way squad....on account of ground sharing at the top of the hill n all that.......twas a shame, especially when they had a quality pitch available to them on Batt Youngs green!

I remember one time Island way poached Gearóid Cleary from Beech Road so Beech Road had a meeting and decided to lure him back by offering him a slice of our pocket money, dan bars and 3p refreshers. This was all before the Premiership. We were miles ahead of ourselves. His brother Cormac used have us doing grooling training regimes up the green in our combat gear and hurleys. Crazy shit.

Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me!

It was infact Healy who was the main instigator in the poaching of our player so it's relevant to this thread. Good player but how dare he stroll into Muskerry Upper and knock on one of our players doors and convince him to stroll down the hill into Muskerry Lower and up on into Island Way to play for them.

I didn't stand for it then and I won't stand for it now.

End of.

Who the hell are you....no doubt a Beech Road man by the sounds of things....my identity is fairly obvious, but I'm intrigued now....I have a feeling we may have been through some epic battles with the lower muskerry crowd together

He could have 2-3 years in the Premiership left in him if he has a good season at Ipswich and gets a move.

Nah to be fair the Championship is his level at this stage of his career. With his fitness history and his age I don't think he'll manage a few years in the Prem.

We could do with him playing regularly back in the championship and getting back in the irish side playing alongside darron gibson, so we don't have to look at that dublin gowl glen whelan anymore.

Didn't holly road/island way usually come away from batt young's green with a win though?

pitch went into disrepair after bad management and a few dodgy signings.(you can take the boy out of elm lawn....)
seen the latest generation out there the other.not a patch on the old school.
i believe theres a reunion in drumsticks soon and its being renamed the lunch box, complete with a lorry size juke box to add to the ocassion

Never heard of them....ah wait maybe i have....they were the crowd that used the long grass on their home patch to their advantage like the Bolivians use the altitude of La Paz. The long grass didn't affect their long ball game while the 'visiting' footballing side's passing was grossly disturbed.

Who were these dodgey signings you speak of?
