Potentially 2 of the most one-sided provincial titles in living memory too. Although I hope not!!

Great match yesterday in Croke Park, thought there might have been a better crowd, but I'd say teh shit weather put people off.

Dublin looked fantastic in some parts of the game and dreadful in others. Every time they looked like getting back into the game they started making mistakes. Definitely an encouraging performance though.

Really? I actually like their studio panel for the hurling, thought they did a decent job of the clare tipp game a few weeks back.

Trevor Welch is a fucking gobshite though.

Yes they were great fun and they actually knew what they were talking about. Far better than today's "experts".

Yup, thought it was very obvious that Dublin were managed by a Loughnane-era Clareman. He has those boys fit as fiddles, they hurled with real intensity for the full 70 minutes. What seemed to let them down was their lack of cuteness and a certain clumsiness in terms of the basic skills. Far too many times a Dublin player failed to pick the sliotar cleanly or let it slip off the bas of the hurley when under even a little pressure.

Still and all, they'll give sides trouble yet, very encouraging performance.

Yeah, they're a very physical side alright. Fair play to Daly, he's done a great job

Dublin were excellent on Sunday, and in many ways I thought they did a better job than Galway.

Well the main difference between them and Galway, is that the whole team pitched in on sunday. Galway are a one-man team.

wasn't surprised by Dublins performance to be honest, they've got the talent they just don't have the big game experience yet. Getting to a quarter final (and possibly further) this year is a big step for them, I hope they continue to improve. I've been advocating it for years, hurling needs a strong Dublin

Yep, it would be fantastic for the game to see Dublin get to an all-ireland in hte next few years.

They can serve as an advertisement to the other counties around teh country that it IS possible to field a competitive hurling team, if you start to put in the work at underage level.

over in the land of the cockney i was watching it on setanta on line, but of course setanta were only showing the exiles TV3's coverage.
Just before the final whistle in the Cork game we had flashes of the FA Cup final hit us as some one (either setanta or TV3) went to an ad break.

FFS like! who was it, did it go to an ad break over in Ireland too or was it setanta, jeesh no wonder they are fucked.

Fucked up the draw as well so they did.

just setanta id say wcr, was watching the Ireland only stream on Setanta and it didn't cut away before the end, although TV3 didn't even hang around for the presenting of the Silverware on Silverware Sunday!
