I've just got back into running and need a pair of proper trainers. Where is the best place to pick them up in the city?

John Buckley's i believe.

mm, who runs alot, swears by them there. Apparently, sports shops like Champion etc dont really cater for serious runners (pun intended!)

Might do - was thinking along the Asics line alright.

The Edge Sports on North Main St - they have a machine that will do a gait analysis and can recommend a pair or runners for you.

As for brands.....it's a bit of a personal thing really....I am and always have been an asics man.....but the different shoes fit differently so try a few different pairs before deciding.

The Edge on North Main St. Opposite Cummin's and Maher's.

They do the full gait analysis stuff and then if you buy a pair of runners in there they take the cost of the gait analysis off the price of the runners.
