View Full Version : Boyle humiliates himself again !

Dan Boyle completely humiliated himself and made a joke of his party in cliaming 1 in eight of the population was buying new cars in the boom years in an interview on the ' Today with Pat Kenny show '.
When challenged by Bill Cullen, Boyle immediately backed down: " I am sorry, I'm sorry ".
Boyle went on to accuse Cullen of " being obsessed " with the Green party.
I can sympathise with Cullen as Mr Boyle has directed that type of attack at myself for accurately quoting some of the bizarre goings on at the Green Party HQ in Douglas st.
Dont take my word for this read it your self on page 11 of the Irish Indo.

There is no point in attacking me for posting a thread on this either - it is news when the Chairman of one of the parties in Government and its spokesman on finance no less, makes such a fool of himself on national radio.

The real question is how much longer is the Green Party willing to let itself be made a joke of by this person ?
Bertie Ahern must have had a perverse sense of humour when appointing him to the Senate !

Give it up O'Leary.

Is that who it is? I've heard that he is a big bag of fucking noise and nothing more and that comes from community workers in Mahon (where he lives).

The prick is completly stupid though - having 3/4 of all his posts directed at one person. He probably thinks that we are too dumb to cop that he is not just a concerned taxpayer.
A bad politician and a bad wum.

If I were, I would no doubt have a big smile on my face and point out that Chris O Leary, unlike our Quasimodo of the South, Mr Two time loser Dan Boyle, has actually managed to get elected and is not dependent upon licking Bertie Ahern's ass to be appointed to the Senate. No Chirs O Leary is a real elected politician and not a charity case.
That Chris O Leary lives in Mahon and has stood up for the people of mahon against cowardly thugs and gurriers is a tribute to him.
In contrast Boyler lives in splendid upper middle class seculsion across the river in Glanmire --when he is not on the 'wine and canape' circuit in Dublin whch is his preferred environment.

How many times has Chris stood for election in Cork North Central, an area to which he has no ties BTW, and lost? How did Chris get his council seat in the first place? I open to correction but wasn't he co-opted to Boyles seat when the dual mandate was abolished? A monkey could get elected to Cork City Council.
Chris o'Leary stands only for Chris o'Leary. And why would anyone in their right mind want to live in Mahon? I got the fuck out of there as quick as I could.

And again could you provide a link to the article you refered to in your first post.

It wasnt Chris O Leary who took down the ' Green Party' sign from the Green Party HQ in Douglas St and replaced it with his own name, was it ?
Just in case you missed it I have shown the relevant media article on this item below:
Extract from the current issue of the Phoenix, page 10, by ‘ Last Refuge ‘

‘ Until the last election the Green Party HQ in Cork had a shop front entitled Green Party HQ but the loss of his Dail seat and entry to the upper house rather chastening him, made Boyle more assertive . The ‘Green Party ‘ shop front was changed to ‘ SENATOR DAN BOYLE ‘ and tensions arose between the senator and his underling, elected Councillor O Leary, who was ill at ease with coalition government in any case. Nevertheless the Councillor used the office regularly as he was, unlike Boyle, dealing with local issues in Cork on a daily basis.
Things reached a head after the education cuts last year and when Boyle returned to ‘his’ office one Friday evening from the canapé and wine circuit in Dublin, he was appalled to see a large slogan stating co‘Greens against education cuts . Boyle ripped down the slogan and after a rigorous debate, and a mmunication from one of the new legal eagles now proliferating in the party was ejected from the office. Early in December, O Leary tendered his resignation from the party but John Gormley and Eamon Ryan and other party heads persuaded him to stay on pending an inquiry into the whole affair by an outside counsellor but the two sides failed to agree on such an independent assessor. ‘

A monkey could get elected to Cork City Council. Well tell that to Boyle's crony , former ' Mayor of passage ', failed County Council candidate Donnelly !

C'mere Chris boy, you might have a good point against Boyle from the above post and that is fine and you should have started a thread about it and we could all have decided that he was a meglomanic and all that jazz.

What you actually did is start a campaign on this forum against him and in doing so revealed yourself (I was obvious that only few would have had such vested interests). You obviously have no interest in posting on any other topic (can be seen from your post history).

This is not the forum for this kind of tactic as we are a little too wise and you are a little too stupid to pull off the ruse.
We also have value in the forum and dont like pricks coming in and damaging the fabric with multiple same themed threads.

A letter writer to the Irish Independent sums up the latest Boyle & De Burca 'vaudville' act in the Senate :

Thursday July 16 2009

TUESDAY’S Seanad grandstanding by Green Senators Boyle and De Burca was a craven example of gesture politics.

The chamber was debating the new crime legislation, which the Government comfortably passed thanks to the support of Fine Gael.

It was at this moment that the two unelected (and unelectable, if European and general election results carry any weight) Greens decided to ‘see red'.

They voted against the motion, safe in the knowledge that their defiance was meaningless to the overall passage of the Bill.

While Dan Boyle will no doubt use this stunt to fill column inches, the simple fact is that his token opposition was not a brave stand based on principles; it was instead a classic act of yellow sleeveenism.

Surely it shows just how far the Greens have fallen from the moral high ground.

And Dan Boyle got a gold star from his party colleagues for his and Deirdre de Burca's decision to abstain from the final vote on the Criminal Justice Bill in the Seanad. "We've allowed a perception to take hold that we don't confront and we don't challenge," declared Dan, vowing that henceforth the Greens "will be public in our unhappiness about particular pieces of legislation. That happened last week, I expect it will happen again."
Quote from the Irish Indo.
Is Boyle worried about 400,000 unemployed ?
Of course not as long as he has the tax payer to fund him - and you couldnt call being a Senator a 'job', Boyle doesnt give a sh*t about the unemployed.

http://www.imt.ie/news/2009/06/fg_govt_failed_to_im plement_ob.html

Fine Gael Health Spokesperson, Dr James Reilly TD has said the HSE’s Health Status report’s warnings about obesity highlighted the Government’s failure to implement over 85% of the recommendations of the National Taskforce on Obesity.

Dr Reilly said: “The Report of the National Taskforce on Obesity was published four years ago yet only 18 of its 93 recommendations have been fully implemented. This failure by Government is risking lives and costing millions to treat obesity related illnesses like diabetes, heart attacks, strokes and cancer. Meanwhile other Government actions, like refusing to release a €750,000 allocation for diabetic retinopathy screening programmes, condemns those afflicted by the disease to the risk of blindness.

“The Health Status Report shows there is clearly a job of work to be done in educating younger people about smoking, alcohol and drug use and the effects on their future health. Unfortunately the Government’s track record of failure on obesity destroys confidence that the Taoiseach and his current crop of Ministers are capable of mobilising the kind of cross-Departmental approach needed to address the very serious concerns in today’s report.
