The people of Ireland are being terrorised into accepting subcontracted abortion factories.

Apparently.

I hear that not only is the reworked treaty going to force abortion into Ireland, but as a sop to the country and an attempt to prop up our ailing job market, they're going to force through proposals that mean that every woman in Europe who wants to have an abortion is going to have to come to Ireland to the special abortion clinics that are to established here.

Their job is to eat the aborted foetuses. The Green Party insisted it was the only safe method of disposal and even with high unemployment, no Irish would take that job. But it turns out aborted foetus is a Bulgarian delicacy.

I'll be voting yes

While the Yes side are no angels the lies and spin coming from the No side is worse. There's nothing in there about abortion, neutrality and conscription. It's the same tired arguments that the No side have been making for years and they've proved to be lies time and time again.

Liars and spinners.

While bad things have resulted from our EU membership there's been far more good. Most of our enlightened laws in the last 30 years came from our EU membership such as the environment, equal opportunities, competition, freedom to travel, freedom to work and much more besides.

We have been a total fuck up at running our own affairs, most of the governing elite, especially the FF party are so far up their own arses that they've lost sight of reality a long time ago.

Conscription?

It's quite clear in the treaty, that conscription only applies to those who voted No or didn't vote.

Vote Yes and you won't get conscripted!

Conscription ?

The only chance of conscription being introduced in Ireland is if we get invaded by the Chinese or Aliens.

Another stupid red herring argument demolished.

I heard the abortion clinic is going to be located in Knock.

Right beside the shrine.

They will move on without us. We will probably be allowed to remain in the economic union, if we want to, but we will have no say in what occurs.

Really? Have there been any statements made by anyone or will it become a matter of scare tactics again when the time gets nearer?

Well, that was the language used last time. It was pretty much a case of 'we are moving on with this'. So if we reject it again, we wont be asked again. I reckon we will just end up in some diluted role or maybe even leaving.

Apparently, in that case, all Irish women will be sold to be sex slaves in the Middle East. Irish men will be sex slaves in Thailand.

Musicians / Actors & Artists have paid almost zero tax since Haugheys days.

The Edge lives in Dalkey.

Robbie Keane has bought a house in Malahide and may move back after his footie days are over.

U2's publishing company is based in the Netherlands, the Edge being a principal songwriter should either base the empire here, pay their dues or keep out of Irish politics.

Yup.

They aren't tax payers, in fact they went out of their way to make sure their money doesn't go to the Irish economy. So fuck them.
As far as i'm concerned they are not an Irish band anyway, but then again i hate u2 ;)

By the way Cliff, they do now have to pay tax, at least when you're in u2's bracket. That's why they moved their base.

He's done nothing illegal, where did I suggest that?
So its ok for him to lecture us about our country after he's done everything legally in his power to avoid paying tax?
In order to validate his opinion he should contribute, which he doesn't, unless we are Holland, which we aren't. He he prefers to pay less tax in Holland, grand but to turn around and get on the Irish yes vote team is a fucking insult to anyone wh pays their tax here and doesnt have the choice of relocating when the purse strings tighten.
I might add that the last time U2 played slane it was estimated the made 2 grand each per minute on stage. He can take a flying fuck off the nearest pier cause he and his ilk are freeloaders and their national allegance dissappears fast when it's payback time.

Yes

It's long, but it's not as difficult as it's made out to be.

The important thing is to read the consolidated treaty. The actual treaty is all stuff like "insert this sentence at then end of that clause in a previous treaty". There was a version on the EU's website that gave what the final documents would read like after the various changes had been made.
