Twas a horrible match to watch. Very bad team performance. The backrow were cat as were both scrum halves. Individually, thought ROG had a great game, as did Bowe and Byrne.
Felt for Earls, his bad start seemed to really get to him and his confidence wont be helped by being subbed.
Hope this isnt what the rest of the tour wont be like.
ROG turns on the style in a big game yet again :lol!:

Deary me like.
The Royal XV are in the third tier of SA rugby. They play in the Vodacom cup which is lower than the Super 14 and Curry Cup.
hahaha, look at it on the news now, there was about 100 people at the game :lol!:

That was because the Super 14 final was on in nearby Durban.
The match on Wednesday night is a 60,000 sell out.

super 14 final was on with the home provance playing and winning, this didnt help the attendence. Lions looked like a team together for only 2 weeks, they still need time to gel, i personally felt Earls performed well after the initial nerves of the first 20 minutes, but these nerves are to be expected from a 21 year old in the most high profile match of his career, I felt POL could have had a word with him in those initial moments to help him calm his nerves, I wouldnt read too much into this performance yet though, I remember the boks strggled to beat connacht before winning the world cup. Wally, Williams,Shaw and Rees had a very poor game.
