not much to be hiding from in fairness. You could try "Rafa" your way out of this with a list of facts but it wouldn't change anything.
Uniteds display last night was not up to scratch and Barca were head and shoulders above them.

I'm pleased that i have heard no excuses and that everyone here has admitted that they were outclassed and deserved to lose
Barca performed brillantly
I remember hearing a theory before that if 3 or 4 players were off form it was hard to win but United had about 7 players who had poor games last night and a poor poor midfield was outclassed by a Barca one in cruise control
Even if a few more United players had been up to it i would have thought Barca would win but it might knock a bit of complacency out of them
They will be well up for the league and raring to go in Europe again having at least made a decent fist of retaining it (bar last night)

Fair play to the SFI. Year upon year they come in their droves and year upon year they're sent packing and rattled, the last long stare of frail men being led away in straightjackets.
And still they come...

Was anyone watching SSN about half an hour ago? Some Man U supporter outside the stadium with a Norn Iron accent was asked for his prediction before the game:
"Should be easy enough I'd say. About (slight pause) 4-2"
How the hell do guys like this get tickets for matches of this importance? There should at least be some IQ test.
IQ test for soccer fans? It would be hard to fill stadiums :)

Who's hiding ???
A barstooler like yourself has more in common with Norm from Cheers than a proper fan...
Are you going to Thurles by the way???
You have to atone for last year's epic failure in going on holiday rather than turning up to support your county...

I'm always shocked at the lack of perspective, judgement and innate knowledge of the game among regular match-going fans (..of all allegiences)
For some it's more of a tribal thing and the subtleties often flow right over their heads.

Most people here predicted a victory for United too (i personally felt it was gonna be a loss but it is never beyond the bounds of possibility that they will win a game)
fans by their very nature are partisan and biased anyway
then again, it's much easier to predict a result 24 hours after a game

Shudda went with your head Stevie not the heart. Did that sensei not teach you nothing?
Im a MUFC fan and am not bothered in the least by the loss in fact considering the football they played i was happy to see em lose. If the team keep getting results thru football like that i will have to pack up and support someone else so its a blessing in disguise. Anyway there does come a stage where winning so much takes the good out of it - it could be argued that this happened some years back tho.
