View Full Version : Sports forum idiot of the year award 2009

Right lads, it's almost June so we need to start getting a list of nominees together.
It's been a solid year for idiotic behaviour on the forum so far, albeit with few standouts. I think Swiss Tony is certainly ahead of the pack at this stage of the running, he's shown consistently impressive form... although you could probably take your pick of any number of the jock blow-ins who've turned self-pwnage into an artform at times.
Anyway- get your nominees listed, and we'll up the poll in due course.
*edit*
Poll can be found here: http://www.peoplesrepublico fcork.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160 966

Yeah, I think the award has to go for sustained excellence. I suppose Dufefer might have had some moments aside from departuresgate, but he wasn't the worst by any stretch... bit like Liam with his imaginationbox moment, but he too took that one on the chin and hasn't really had too many other moments to warrant consideration.

Are you mad Mickser?
Liam has a hyper inflated value on his own opinion and beliefs bordering on the narcissistic. He completely discredits other views if they conflict with his own like he is some Ming the Merciless type overlord.
Not only that but he does not accept what is put too him until irrefutable proof is offered, which he has usually demanded, before it is served to the dipshit to shut him up.
On top of that he calls people spastics and it dosent click with him when he is proved wrong that there may be something not quite right in his little mind.
He does make me laugh a very lot tho so at least thats kinda positive.

If Tony wins he will no doubt pronounce it the greatest day in the history of rattlement.
See how rattled you are... it even bothers you that I might win because you know that it is down to my rattling skills. You even sound angry.:lol!:
I want to win it... because it will indeed be a stunning victory for rattlement considering how seldom I bother posting here. I have roused up some pretty intense emotions, even hatred, it has to be said... eventhough I rarely bother posting here and only really started a few months ago.
I do intend sticking around though... it is so easy in here.:lol!::lol!:

This is a long running INTERNET tradition, the General Michael Collins Perpetual trophy goes only to the lowest of the low. Few if any have ever recovered from winning this. Healthy field of candidates this season, dark horses emerging on a weekly basis to challenge the front runners. Looking forward to casting my vote.

funny thing about slam gate is the jocks claimed victory. but the only thing i could compare it to was the utter anihalation waterford received last september.

That would be the general consensus. The SFI always have their best days after a big day for the jocks.
Witness the ghost town after ROG's latest implosion. Much less fun to be had.
