U21s - Irl v Turkey - Tues 31st March - Turners Cross

This should be a good game actually. Turkey are meant to be fairly handy at this level this year and last.

god good keeper paddy but very quiet. could make life alot easier on himself if he actually opened his mouth and became commanding. i know him and played with him. can easily play at the level but as i said very quiet and a keeper has to call the shots imo.

I think he was on about James McCarthy the Hamilton Academics midfielder.

Were you paddy?

Turkey won 3-0..

How Don Givens is allowed to stay in this job year after year is amazing..

i knew that paddy but was having a joke about cobh ramblers keeper. the game was ok. ireland would have done much better if they had actually started with mccarthy as he gave them a spark at the start of the second half and had sheridan taken one of those easy headers we would have been right back i it. i dint think turkey were 3 goals a better team though and there was a clear hand ball in the build up to the second goal that was an easy spot really for both linesman and ref. crowd was ok i suppose. 2500 is a good crowd for a tuesday night. lots ok kids which is great to see.

Turkey were a different class last night and deserved the 3-0 scoreline, plenty of stars of the future on that team.

Ireland were quite poor in the first half but did step it up in the second. The intro of mccarthy defo made a difference. That tall fella up front for ireland was terrible, looked fla-ed out after 5mins and labored the entire game. how he missed those headers i dunno...

I really cant understand why Don Givens still has a job....He is a poor coach/manager and his man management skills which is essential with the younger players is terrible. Its jobs for the boys.
