Very funny interview.
They were rubbish, we were rubbish, and the guy Johannson who scored their goal shouldnt even be out there because he is rubbish.

Needs a small bit of media training I reckon!

spot on....fareplay to him like, he knew the consequences of what he was saying and still went for it. he grew up playing with good players like giggs and speed and now has to make do with this crap.

Heh heh heh.

Funny stuff. Nice to see a soccer player not resorting to the ol' automatic cliché generator to do the interview for him.

Fair play to the guy. You dont see many post-match interviews by sportsmen that are that blunt and up-front. Thankfully no media training in evidence.

especially seen as johansson was a much quicker player than bellamy ever was. at his peak he could run 100 meteres in under 11 seconds. bellamy only said what everyone else was thinking. problem for him is he should not be saying it.

Why shouldn't he?

He said what was on his mind, I see nothing wrong with that. I mightn't agree with him but surely he's entitled to air his views.

I agree. Fairly ill-informed, but refreshingly honest all the same.

Publicly singling out a player as being shit shows a serious lack of class imo and really says a lot about Bellamy.

I have no problem with honesty but that was uncalled for. What does "he's not good enough to score" even mean anyway . He's scored many goals in his career and and against much better teams than fucking Wales

As I said, I'm not saying I agree with what he says but isn't it grand to hear a player speak his mind rather than spout the usual shite:
"Game of 2 halves, we didn't take our chances, on another day we would of scored, the lads battled hard, credit to the boys, we're focusing on game against the Germans etc etc." It's the same clichés we've been hearing for years.
He said what was on his mind. Was it classy? No it wasn't, when did Bellamy ever have class in this regard! And I don't think Johansson is giving a flying fuck what Bellamy said. He got 2 goals, 3 points. Happy days for him.

Like it was in his ill-informed bonce, more like it. Finland did fantastically well in the last qualifiers, and should have beaten Germany in this campaign.

But more power to him for speaking his mind, all that aside.

so as not to land himself in bother. it stinks of bellamys "who but me complex" as if he is much better than everyone else in the wales team. he actually is but you dont act that way is all im saying. if you ask craig bellamy who he thinks is the best player in the world he will say craig bellamy 10/10 times. i agree he should be able to say what he wants as long as he accepts the consequences which will be a few upset team mates i woudl imagine not to mention a manager.

I think you're mixing Johansson up with Dennis Rommedahl. Their time at Charlton overlapped for a couple of seasons. Rommedahl was a Danish underage sprinter (I believe) and was described by Ashley Cole as the fastest player he had ever played against. I think David James said something about a load of the English squad saying the same. The commentators used always milk the fact that he was such a speedster anyway. Johansson wasn't a lumbering oaf of a forward but I don't remember him ever being renowned for his pace and certainly not in the Bellamy category.

very true. he is an ugly mug as well. i think he knows this though to be honest or he would be on every billboard from here to timbucktu. even if he wasnt a famous footballer you just know if you went to town with him you would be picking him up from the bride well (sp) kicking and screaming at 4am in the morning and he would attack every bouncer who stopped ya at the door of a club. apart from that id say he is a lovely lad.
