View Full Version : An amazing statistic about the 6 Nations
Six Nations sides faced Tri Nations sides 21 times in 2008, Southern Hemisphere prevailed on 20 occasions, really puts this mickey mouse competition into context considering the braying of the Munstershire masses

For someone who supposedly hates rugby he spends an awful lot of time talking about it
cantankerous bastard

That's incredible...I would have believed 19 wins, but 20 is off the wall altogether!

A damning statistic that says it all. The Arlandshire brigade won't like this. We've been fed how great Arland/Munstershire are for the last couple of years on here and in the Arish Times but there it is in black and white.
Top work, POL, you're a true servant to the board.

I'm thinking of proposing a tournament where Meath, Carlow, Kildare, Longford, Laois and Offaly play each other once to decide once and for all which is the mightiest county!
Out of those 6.

Throw in London and New York every four years and we could call it the world cup.

Here's another one - In league table (W/L/D) terms since the 6 Nations started Ireland are second only to the French.

Amazing. Even more amazing is that 5 of the last 5 threads started by you on this forum are on the subject of rugby.

Oh, I'm well aware of that.
Comfortably second, I'd wager.

And if you could get the Munster counties, Galway and a few of the less populated counties in Leinster to plays in a competition you could call it the All Ireland Hurling Championship.
How many of the rugby fans on here start threads wuming the mess that is Cork GAA?
If Irish rugby was in a mess with players striking there would be thread after thread filled with glee.
Occasionally amusing, usually wrong, but mostly sad.

Look around you. Arish rugby is a mess.
Wouldn't Flannery be a bit pissed off if everyone else started striking too?

How about a competition to decide who is the greatest hurling county in ireland and only have 3-4 realistic contenders???? oh wait that would be the All-Ireland Hurling Championship or to give it its proper title The Bits of Munster and One County in Leinster Championship

I wonder does Tomás O'Leary have these disagreements with the guys he won the All-Ireland MHC with, and get ostracised from the Ireland/Munster dressing room for his GAA past? Or has Sully received loads of abuse from the '08 panel for training with Highfield?
Loads of people have played both GAA and rugby, and to a pretty high level as well.
What I'd like to know is, do they have something to be worried about? Are they lacking the purity of the noble sporting denizens of this board?

Bring back the ban I say...that will sort them out.
