View Full Version : Is Nani the reason manyoo will win the weague?

When you think that manyoo can afford to spend 17 million on an utter lemon like Nani, it's hard to see how any other club could compete with them.
Add Hargreaves to that too, 19 million for a mole in the physio room.
That's 36 million or in more tangible terms, Wigan, Bolton, Hull and Stoke's first teams.

And Chelsea bought the league?

are ya hurting Ed?

If United win the league, doing so without much contribution from Nani, Hargreaves and Anderson this year will be impressive

Chelsea didn't buy the league

The core players were there they got a manager who gave them belief
Some of their buys helped their decline a few seasons ago

he is anti everything. i think he may have been abused as a child or at the very least dropped on his noggin a good few times. he is really bored today to start a pss poor wumming thread like this one. nani is a carling cup specialist and wing wizard. as soon as thriller is launched as a broadway musical then nani will be off........

2/10 for wumming effort. only getting the 2 as it is a tuesday in fairnes......

So United bought the league with a 'lemon' and a 'mole' who doesn't even play?

Hargreaves is injured, quite seriously

But contributed very well to a Champions League win last year and like Nani, was important in the league too on occassions

United learnt from what was for many people here the highlight of the last few years, the 3-0 drubbing in Milan, where there squad depth was found out to be badly lacking

Don't forget Veron.

Fergie did his best to start him and even unsettled a winning midfield to try and accomodate him

That's the issue

a 3 in a row title winning team bought him to better themselves in Europe

didn't work

lost the league in 2002 and failed in the semis of europe

Won back the league but moved him on

Overall, a failure, but like Morientes, Ballack and many more top players looked a great buy on paper

A fit Torres has been benched very rarely indeed.

Less than Ronaldo or Rooney I'd be confident in saying.

yeah they look good but it can easily change though if they go out against Inter Milan the season could easily end in failure

I'd be happy with the league anything else a bonus

This article debunks the well-trodden myth that Torres was rested excessively last season:

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/NG159163080313-1119.htm

If anything Torres has been overplayed this season.

On his return from injuries he has looked like he was badly lacking match sharpness and if Liverpool weren't in such dire need of his talents I'm sure he'd have been eased back in quite a bit more gently.

United have decent alternatives to Rooney

How is that relevant to what we are talking about?

Rooney isn't benched for the sake of it and is generally in Uniteds first eleven (Inter was a rarity)

Nani isn't good enough to be in Uniteds first eleven

Wheteher he will be is up for debate

This season he has dissapointed but i wouldn't write him off yet

If you factor in how much exposure each manager has had to European football then Benitez's record measures up very well against those two, the Frenchman especially.

A crazy decision. I didn't think he was good enough at Spurs first time around and I wasn't at all impressed when Liverpool signed him in the summer for a seriously inflated fee. At the same time selling him after 5-6months and leaving Liverpool with a half fit torres was an absolutely crazy decision

Mine is 4 months old and was demanding a change of formation on Sunday which Fergie did do eventually.Pushing Nani and Ronaldo high and wide in a
4-3-3 formation therefore forcing Lennon back to play deeper to double up thus making him less effective.
She also wanted to know why Gibson kept giving the ball away and was playing the game at a slower pace than his elder Scholes.

The same as anyone else.
United built their team up over years. They didn't have 30million to spend on a player when the Premiership began. Their continual success built up the bank making it easier to buy players in future. Utter cunts, how dare they.

Nobody paid 30 million for players when football began.
They did however consistently break the transfer record.

And by quite some distance in the case of veron and jabberwocky double in fact..

An urban myth spun by Clough to try and deflect the sensationalism the transfer was causing.Clough also referred to Francis as a promising player and boasted about the fact that his instructions to Francis were to give the ball to John Robertson cos he is a better player...Clough also did this with Stan Bowles.
