Greetings All,
At a meeting of the organising group yesterday, it was decided that we would try to present a letter on behalf of the suipporters to the county board on Sunday after the match.
Can I please have any (serious) drafts on the content that you would like to see in such a letter?
Obviously we cannot guarantee that the County Board will want to accept such a letter but we are going to try,
Thanks in advance.
C32.

Seeing as though they are quoting the rule book all the time and saying that they are justified in taking their stand as they followed the rules maybe you could ask them why was Billy Morgan not given first refusal on a second term when this as the CCB have said themselves is the common practice.
Its because of this practice that we now find ourselves in this position!!

How about some of the key questions:
1) Why, when the player representatives made it clear that they did not want Gerald McCarthy as team manager, did you go ahead and recommend him after the 'process'?
Can you honestly say Gerald is/was the best man for the job? Can you honestly say you were working in the best interest of Cork Hurling, when you ignored the players and appointed Gerald McCarthy?
2) Why did you fail to tell the club delegates that the players were against the re-appointment of Gerald McCarthy when a vote was about to take place on his appointment?
3) Why was the vote for the re-appointment of Gerald McCarthy & Conor Counihan lumped together into 1 vote? Can you honestly say this is the best method to vote for appointments of management for our Senior Hurling and Football teams?
4) Why are you ignoring the clubs over the last 2 weeks on this issue? Yes you can say 2 votes have already taken place, but the clubs clearly are not happy with the resolution. Surely the County Board Executive is there to serve the clubs not to ignore them and hide behind rule 59.
5) If the ‘norm’ is to ask the outgoing manager if he is interested in retaking the senior manager post, why was this not applied to Billy Morgan when his time was up in 2006?
