Cork footballers 2002-2008 come 2nd, best chance to put away Kerry this year, and two kids create the deciding goal to finish them off.

gerald mccarthy as he looks at frank murphy slithering down the sideline towards him out of the corner of his eye.

yup

and he made a good kick to touch at a crucial point despite playing poor and steadied himself to kick the decisive pen yesterday too

also, he delivered in the Heineken cup and helped win it twice

Everyone has a bad day, sometimes they come on a big occasion. I remember seeing a JBM interview a while back. He'd just seen an old final on All Ireland Gold on TG4, and was happy to admit he'd been brutal. Doesn't mean he was a choker.

I always reckon you need at least three incidents to declare a person or team to be chokers. And they don't all have to be losses. For example, Star from belfast won the basketball national league two years in a row a good while back. They were the best team by a mile those years, and were a couple of games ahead coming to the end of the seasons. Both years they had opportunities to put the title away and failed. Both years the clincher was when someone else lost. They won the league, but choked both years. Both years they also choked away leads in the Cup, including an epic choke-job when a 19 point lead over Demons evaporated in a semi-final. A couple of years later in 2003, they choked away a title to Neptune when they lost a few games right at the end of the league and Neptune passed them on the final weekend. That's choking of the highest order.

Hard to look beyond ROG.

The whole Waterford panel of 08 :lol!:
ROG is just one man but for a whole team to choke at Croker is inexcusable.
