260 - but some of those clubs are hurling equivalents to football clubs so the real number from a representation point of view is less.

Like Watergrasshill and Glenville, Glanmire and Sars.

I think its exactly 260 either. I think the number that came out was 263? As you say with hurling and football clubs the numbers differ and the amalgamation of some clubs at various levels muddies the water even further. Is the real question about the number represented at CCB level?

How many delegates do the Barr's have and how many championship games have they won in recent years?

roughly 165 when dual clubs are accounted for, roughly, a few people tried nailing the exat figure on rebelgaa.

The Barrs would have 2 Delegates, one hurling and one football.
They have won a good few games in recent years, reached semis in the hurling in 07, won the Premier Intermediate football in 08.

The Barrs have 2 delegates - 1 hurling and 1 football. Last year they won the Intermediate Football County so they won 4/5 games in doing that.
They beat Bride Rovers in the 1st round of the hurling before losing to the Rockies in a replay in round 3.

In 2007 they got relegated from senior football - Won 2 and lost 3 on the way.
They got to the semi-final of the hurling losing narrowly to eventual winners Erin's Own (they should have won). Think they won 3 games to get them that far.
They were also in a senior football semi final in 2005 I think

They've also won a couple of minor and U-21 football counties the last few years. Could be the team to rattle Nemo if they keep progressing

They'd have a hurling delegate and football delegate. I assume the seandun delegates come from one of the junior clubs and not from a senior club. The Barrs may have a club memeber on the executive I dont know the breakdown.

Not necessarily I know of one divisional rep from a senior/Intermediate club. Not the case with the barrs though. One of they're delegates was part of the commitee who reappointed Gerald

not a given, both East Cork reps come from clubs that are Senior or Intermediate.

I was at the Rockies game.

The Barr's were horrendous. The Rockies weren't much better.

Not to pick on the Barrs (even if they are McCarthy's club) but I'd like to see a breakdown of who the county board delegates represent.

I'd be very disappointed if this supposed "elite" of Cork hurling, the senior clubs, are as overrepresented as they appear to be.

Go through the executive sure

Frank Murphy - Blackrock - Secretary
Jerry O'Sullivan - Cloyne - Chairman
Ger Lane - ? - PRO
Bob Ryan - Inniscarra - Vice Chairman
Jim Murphy - Kilmurry - Development Officer
Pearse Murphy - ? - Treasurer

Add in some more.

All senior and intermedaite clubs have a delegate. If they are hurling and football and are at that level they are represented by 2 delegates. The colleges are represented but I dont know if they have a hurling and football vote. The divisions have 2 delegates to represent the junior clubs and the division.

If I'm missing something fill it in

Ger Lane is from Lisgoold or maybe the Rovers?

So, the biggest clubs in Cork would have two delegates each in all probability as they'd have decent hurling and football teams? Even if they were just threading water these days like the Barrs. Interesting. There must be an awful lot of clubs so with just the level of representation that goes with the delegates from the division?

That seems like a democratic deficit to me.

i might be wrong but, we played a football championship match last year in Kilmurry and Pearse was there, again he might be only a spectator but he looked like a man who was involved in the club.
