How can we get this guy finally out of Cork GAA. The fact that he is a full time paid official may make it difficult, due to employment laws.

do what the players said in their statement. Get it done through the clubs.

It makes sense, but if he wrote his own contract I wonder if it is that easy to remove him. If he isn't chairman, then wil he have to be kept in a different position and still get paid.

of course it won't be easy, but it'll be a whole lot harder if people don't get their clubs into action.

Surely a direct order from GOD himself should be enough...after all, if there's one group more powerful than the GAA in this country then it's the Church :)

It'll be interesting to see if the clubs have the bottle.

Dangerous game to play for them, cause if they try and fail they'll never get a favour or anything they need again.

Do you know what, it'll be the clubs to blame if they fawk it up. The players have tried to change it, they have given it a real good shot. If the system is fawked (clubs and CCB) then theres nothing you can do. We'll have to put up with the idea of one all ireland every 10-15 years.

The ball is in the clubs and publics court now.

I agree, and I'd imagine if one club starts alot will follow. Just takes one brave club.

There are signs of a revolution starting IMO. Cloyne deserve great credit for the proposal tonight, Clyda and Piarsaigh for allowing the 08 Panal use the facilities and clubs like Erins Own and Newtown refusing to give them Scabs.

Funny enough Gadaffi is probably a very good parallel with FM. Been in place for decades, still has some people loyal to him, but generally despised by the populace. Why haven't NATO turned their gaze on the CCB :???:

but he is due to retire is he not? for my own part i have been emailing every gaa correspondent in the country pleading with them to keep an eye on what is happening in case the CCB pull a fast one. i actually got a positive eough response. one of them told me the reason the CCB don't request any funds from croke park is that Croke park cannpt interfere or issue any directives to the CCB.

As much as like the feeling and intention to unseat Frank Murphy, I see it as a waste of time at this stage. The man is getting quite old and will depart in the next few years regardless. More useful to channel your energies towards trying to get new younger, administrative faces into the CCB executive so that they can detoxify the whole organisation with the departure of Prionnsais and his cronies, i.e. Comical Bob, Bobbo of B'town, Jerry O'Sullivan, Mick 'Shingles' Dolan, etc.

NATO knows that Gadaffi is a softer target than Frank--Gadaffi had his amazon bodyguards but Frank has the Bobs! :(

He is retiring as secretary and is becoming stadium manager of the Pairc development, no one even knows Mister Franks salary, he decides his own salary himself!!!

In the middle of the winter of discontent in '08-'09, the player reps were in meetings with Bob Ryan and another board hack. Comical Bob accused the lads of being the cause of Dolan getting the shingles. A black magic job like :p

Not sure about Luigi!

Ger Fitz, Not Ger Lane Bluemagic. Also known as Ger Oz or Fathead and was a reference for him going on holidays to Oz during the middle of championship when he was a selector without no mention or apologies of it to players

The players were amused with the amount of grooming Luigi did - spent ages in front of the mirror after training - the perfectly trimmed moustache was the reason for the Luigi Moniker.

He dyed his hair and loved giving interviews - a proper poser.

When the facillitator was called in to try and improve the disasterous relations between Luigi and the players - he came up with the notion that the players should answer some questions in a confidential questionare - one of the ?'s was to say something positive about Luigi - Timmy Mac said that he was always impeccably groomed - A classic - the rest of the players were knotted and it completely passed over the head of Gormless Luigi.
