Certainly the much-maligned Mick McCarthy ( by the Keane media lapdogs and the worst kind of Cork pub bore ) will be vindicated.
Grace, resilience, hon esty, courage, reliabi lity - they were never much part of the Keane brand then and less so now.

Well, I think that President Elect Obamas ongoing commitment to having a strong US military presence in the region will consolidate it's position, giving it's proximity to Guam and also it's position as a US commonwealth protectorate.

Sorry.

I think that questions have to be asked about Roy's character now. A quote of his from some time back reprinted in today's Examiner makes interesting reading. "People ask where my competitive streak comes from. It's fear. I have a fear of failure."

I think that says it all really.

One of the hacks, maybe Rob Sheperd did a piece on him this weekend and I don't want to go down his past addictions route, but said the compulsive side to him was transferred post alcoholism to this ridiculous obsession with what he thinks is perfection. I think there is a point in there somewhere

Everyone has a fear of failure but only cowards give up before the fight has even started.
The real disappointment with Keane - even for his committed fans - is that he gave up so easily.
No-one likes a quitter and he really has no excuse.

Would you call his setup at SundArland proper?

text messages, refusing to speak to his boss or take training, players allergic to him?

I think Saipan has been put to bed this week, its just a matter of getting some people to accept it now

I'm actually a little concerned for Keane's mental well-being now.
Outside of football - where surely he will spend his days now he is discredited - Keane doesn't appear to have any other interests except his family.
Having poured scorn on TV pundits in the past I don't see that as an avenue he'll go down but who knows ?

This has nothing to do with Cork hurling. It has to do with Keane walking out in time to write an extra chapter for his book in order to get it to the Christmas market.

captain of man utd. ireland
alex fergusons best ever player according to the man himself.
7 league winners medals
1 european cup medal
3 FA cups.

yeah, it's obvious. the guy had no backbone.

edit. irelands player off the tournament 1994.
man of the match v portugal and holland 2002 campaign.

It's a sad day when a manager can't even hang on to see his lads getting in the Sunday papers for roasting a couple of teenage slappers at their Christmas party.
Although given his popularity Keane would have been sat there on his own with a mountain of sausage rolls.
I find it hard how fellers on this forum can defend a Corkman who has turned us into a laughing stock.
