A little bit late starting but what the heck:

Hurdlers : Great to see that Hardy still has a good race left in him and I'm surprised that Brave Inca's latest comeback run wasn't greeted with a bigger odds-slash with regards to the Champion Hurdle. Binocular still looks the one to beat but the picture should be a little clearer after the Chrismas period

Chasers : Well, with Denman out of action and Kauto falling/unseating last time out there is a chance for someone else to stake a claim for the GOld Cup crown. I think its staggering that with all his problems Denman is still Evens for the GC. The 20's about War Of Attrition look attractive to me; has only ran 7 times since winning the Gold Cup in 2006 and any semblance of a return to that kind of form would give him a right chance. Master-Minded would appear to be the penalty kick of the festival but could you back a relative novice at odds-on at Prestbury Park.. I'm not sure

Jockeys : What a turbulent time young Sam Thomas is going through at the moment; what a difference a year makes. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum what a sublime ride Davey Russell gave Dix Villez over the Cross-Country course at the open meeting; for him to tell the interviewer that he had ok'ed his intentions with the stewards prior to the race just as the claxon went off to signify the stewards inquiry was priceless. McCoy now has 2 four-timers at the big meetings in a row; last Saturday and at the Hennessy Meeting.

Future Racing : It will be interesting to see what price Kauto goes off at in the King George...can't see him being as short as the 5/4 about him now

More to follow in the weeks/months to come.
