As if it wasn't bad enough Pats have been reported to be throwing games while Bohs have seemingly lost their court case.
A sad day for the league.

Yes...it also means a fairly even playing field across the league's bigger sides...a return to more realistic wages and so on...the league was totally out of sync with some other comparable leagues in Europe for a few years there...we will always be a feeder league for the English clubs...
we need to accept that and just get on with what we have... a product that is still attractive to the punter who wants to see some decent soccer locally...take the City V Sligo game tonight....looking forward to this as a win will secure a good finish to the season for us - 4th in league (after a 10 pt deduction) and the setanta cup after the turbulent season we have had...that's something to be proud of for those of us who stuck by the club through all the crap this season...
Sure, I won't be seeing a talent at the level of Messi or Robinho tonight, but it's still an exciting thing to be at the Cross on a match night when the odd piece of great football manifests itself...

What was the developer going to do with Dalymount anyway? Build apartments? I'd say he'll be delighted to wash his hands of the whole thing. Don't think he'll get his money back though.

All we need now is to somehow find a rule that Derry broke and we'd be Champions.

At this rate Sligo will be champions as they seem to be the only club in the top half of the table that is neither broke nor bent.
